In accordance with Decision No. 174/2008/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2008, of the Prime Minister, promulgating regulations on standards and procedures for appointing and dismissing professors and associate professors;
Based on Decision No. 20/2012/QD-TTg dated April 24, 2012 of the Prime Minister on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the "Regulations on standards and procedures for appointing and dismissing professors and associate professors" issued together with Decision No. 174/2008/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2008 of the Prime Minister;
Based on Circular No. 16/2009/TT-BGDĐT dated July 17, 2009, of the Ministry of Education and Training, which details the procedures for recognizing, revoking, appointing, and dismissing professors and associate professors;
Based on Circular No. 30/2012/TT-BGDĐT dated September 11, 2012, issued by the Minister of Education and Training, amending and supplementing several articles of Circular No. 16/2009/TT-BGDĐT dated July 17, 2009, issued by the Minister of Education and Training, which details the recognition, revocation of recognition of standards, appointment, and dismissal of professor and associate professor titles;
Based on the strategic development plan of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi announces the number of professors/associate professors to be appointed in the following disciplines in 2016:

- Application form for appointment to the title of Professor/Associate Professor (according to the form issued by the State Council for Professor Titles);
- The decision to recognize someone as having met the standards for the titles of Professor or Associate Professor is issued by the Chairman of the State Council for Professor Titles;
- Official letter requesting appointment from the Faculty/Department; Minutes of Faculty/Department meetings.
