Consideration for awarding the title "Outstanding Young Person at the Grassroots Level" in 2016

Based on Official Letter No. 3305/ĐHQGHN-CTHSSV dated October 24, 2016, from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, regarding the awarding of the title "Outstanding Young Face of Vietnam National University, Hanoi"; In order to summarize the emulation movement in learning, working, scientific research, and moral training of students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, and young staff, the University requests the Heads of units to consider and propose the awarding of this title."Outstanding Young Person at the Grassroots Level" in 2016according to the following specific details:

1. Titlesystemu Gemeraldng mat trecommemorative plaqueeucabase p:Awards are given to students and staff under 35 years of age who are working or studying at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, possess good political and moral qualities, lead a healthy lifestyle, actively contribute to social work, class activities, Youth Union activities, and Student Association activities, have high prestige and influence within the collective, are respected by the collective, and meet one of the following requirements:

1.1. Young people who have achieved outstanding results in their studies, research, and work:

- Students must have achieved a GPA of 3.60 or higher in the 2015-2016 academic year, have no failing grades (F) in any subject during the year, and have an excellent conduct rating.

- Students who are outstanding class/youth union/student association officers with a GPA of 3.20 to 3.59 in the 2015-2016 academic year, with no failing grades in any subject during the year, and an excellent conduct rating.

- Students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate a strong spirit of overcoming difficulties and achieving academic excellence have a GPA of 3.20 to 3.59 in the 2015-2016 academic year, no failing grades (F) in any subject, and an excellent conduct rating.

- Graduate students must achieve a GPA of 3.60 or higher in their coursework and have at least two articles published in national-level scientific journals (with ISSN) or at least one article published in an international scientific journal.

- Doctoral candidates must achieve a GPA of 3.70 or higher in their specialized subjects and have at least two articles published in national-level scientific journals (with ISSN) or at least one article published in an international scientific journal.

- Young cadres who have achieved the title of Emulation Soldier at the grassroots level or higher.

1.2. The young face is a student who won an official individual award in regional and international Olympic competitions in 2016.

1.3. Young faces are officials or students who have won first or second prize at the national level or at the level of central ministries, departments, Hanoi National University, provinces, or centrally-administered cities in scientific research, culture and arts, or sports.

2. Deadline for submitting nominations:The units conduct the selection process and submit the list.according to the template) regarding the Department of Politics and Student AffairsBefore November 11, 2016 (Friday).

3. Some lUhintention

- No awards will be given to:

+ Students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates who graduated in the 2015-2016 academic year.

+ Students of the QH-2016-X cohort.

- Graduate students/researchers nominated under category 1.1, and individuals nominated under categories 1.2 and 1.3 must submit all supporting documents along with their nomination summary from their institution.

- The school will not consider applications from units that do not submit the list in the correct format and within the specified deadline. If a unit fails to submit its application for selection to the school within the aforementioned deadline, it will be automatically considered as not participating.

After the results of the "Outstanding Young Person at the grassroots level" award for 2016 are announced, the grassroots-level council will select and nominate candidates for the "Outstanding Young Person at the Hanoi National University level" award and present them with a Certificate of Merit from the Director of Hanoi National University.
