The International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Sustainable Development (CISD2021) is co-organized by the Vietnam-Japan University - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with the support of Vietnam-Japan University's partner universities in Japan and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Scientists' Club (VSL), as a multidisciplinary scientific platform and technology exchange center. With the overarching theme of “Contemporary Issues in Sustainable Development,” CISD2021 welcomes all scientists, researchers, and experts to discuss various aspects of sustainable development. The aim of CISD2021 is to create a network among researchers/scholars, experts, and policymakers on sustainable development; and to establish an annual forum/conference to share research findings and assess the latest issues in sustainable development.
The scope of the workshop focuses on the following areas:

- Sustainable research directions in the face of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
