The Fulbright Expert Program is a short-term program that brings US experts to work at universities, research institutes, and ministries/agencies in Vietnam according to the specific requirements of the host unit. Experts come to work at the host unit for a period of two (2) to six (6) weeks, counting from the date the expert arrives at and leaves the host unit, including weekends.
The Fulbright Specialist Program was created to provide American scholars and professors with the opportunity to collaborate with Vietnamese academic and educational institutions in program development, planning, and organizing a variety of enriching activities. For example, Fulbright specialists may participate in activities such as:
Participate in or lead workshops or training sessions at host organizations in Vietnam.
Providing consultancy services to Vietnamese managers and training officers on developing and enhancing staff capabilities.
Develop and evaluate academic programs or educational materials at host institutions in Vietnam.
Deliver lectures at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Conduct surveys and needs assessments, and research programs at academic and educational institutions and organizations in Vietnam.
Currently, the Fulbright Program is still accepting applications for expert invitations for fiscal year 2021. Applications submitted in fiscal year 2021 may be processed in 2022 or later. If your school wishes to submit an application for 2021, please send it to the Program before September 15, 2021. Applications submitted after September 15, 2021 will be considered according to the quota for fiscal year 2022.
