The Fulbright Specialist Program is a short-term program that brings U.S. experts to work at universities, research institutes, ministries, and agencies of Vietnam according to the specific requirements of the host unit. Experts come to work at the host unit for a period of two (2) to six (6) weeks, counting from the date the expert arrives and leaves the host unit, including weekends.
The Fulbright Specialist Program was established to provide U.S. scholars and professors with opportunities to collaborate with Vietnamese academic and educational institutions in program development, planning, and organizing a wide range of activities. For example, Fulbright specialists may participate in the following activities:
Participate in or chair seminars or training sessions at receiving units in Vietnam.
Consulting Vietnamese managers and training officers in developing and enhancing staff capacity.
Develop and evaluate academic programs or educational materials at host institutions in Vietnam.
Conducting lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Conduct surveys and needs assessments, program research in academic and educational institutions and organizations in Vietnam.
The Fulbright Program is currently accepting applications for the 2021 fiscal year. Applications submitted for the 2021 fiscal year may be implemented in 2022 or later. If you wish to apply for the 2021 fiscal year, please submit your application to the Program before September 15, 2021. Applications submitted after September 15, 2021 will be considered according to the 2022 fiscal year quota.
