Irish Government Scholarship Program in Vietnam for the 2022/2023 academic year

The Embassy of Ireland announces that applications for the Irish Government Scholarship under the Ireland Fellows Programme (IFP) – Vietnam, for Vietnamese candidates pursuing master's degrees at Irish universities and institutes of technology, are now open for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The purpose of the IFP scholarship is to support candidates working at partner agencies of the Irish Embassy in Vietnam to have the opportunity to pursue master's programs abroad. Applicants must commit to returning to Vietnam after completing their studies and using their acquired skills to contribute to the country's development.

The IFP scholarship program encourages participation from female applicants, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and other disadvantaged groups.

Summary of eligibility requirements:

- Currently working for agencies or organizations on the Irish Embassy's partner list for the IFP Vietnam 2022/2023 scholarship program.

- Must have at least 2 years of work experience directly related to the chosen study program.

- Foreign language proficiency: English (as required by each training program).

The application review process consists of 3 rounds:

- Round 1: Preliminary Selection – applications open July 5, 2021. Registration deadline August 1, 2021.

- Round 2: Submit detailed application – applications open September 4, 2021. Application deadline September 26, 2021.

- Round 3: English test and interview – November-December 2021.

Scholarship acceptance letter: July 2022.

The application form (typed) along with the required documents for Round 1 should be sent to the Embassy of Ireland in Hanoi at the following email address:vietnamscholarship@dfanet.ieBefore August 1, 2020.

Please note: The Irish Embassy will assess the applications. Applicants are not permitted to contact the schools directly.
