Carrying out the mission of researching, exploiting and promoting the value of Truc Lam Buddhism, on the occasion of the 730th anniversary of the passing of Master Tue Trung, the Tran Nhan Tong Institute under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi hosted the conference: "Buddhist laypeople in history - Commemorating the 730th anniversary of the passing of Master Tue Trung".
1. CONFERENCE INFORMATION- Organizing unit: Tran Nhan Tong Institute, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
- Time of organization (expected): End of September 2021.
- Venue: The Organizing Committee will announce later.
- Format: Scientific seminar, presentation, discussion.
- Conference proceedings with peer review, expected to be printed in the fourth quarter of 2021, with ISBN index.
2. CONFERENCE TOPICSThe workshop focused on exchanging and discussing the following contents:
- Content 1: Tue Trung Thuong Si on Truc Lam Buddhism in the Tran Dynasty and Vietnamese Buddhism in general.
- Content 2: Zen thought of Tue Trung Thuong Si.
- Content 3: Buddhist laymen and Truc Lam Buddhism.
- Content 4: Traditional and modern Buddhist lay people in terms of practice, cultural activities, academics, compilation of documents, printing of scriptures, etc.
3. DISCUSSION FORMULATIONS- Paper written in Vietnamese, unpublished.
- The paper is typed in Word format with the following format: left margin: 3cm, right margin: 2.5cm, top margin: 2cm, bottom margin: 2cm, Times New Roman font, size 13, line spacing Exactly 18pt, summary 200 words, 3-5 keywords, full text length from 8000 to 10000 words, including notes, references, appendices if any.
- Below the title of the article, the following information must be clearly stated: Author's full name, academic title, work unit, phone number, email (the Organizing Committee will only contact authors via email).
- Automatic footnotes, consecutive numbering, font size 11.
- How to cite documents (list only documents cited in the paper):
+ For books, theses, dissertations: Author's name, (year of publication), book title (italicized), publisher, place of publication, pages (or place of defense, year of defense, pages, etc. for theses, dissertations).
+ For magazine articles and yearbook articles: Author's name, (year of publication), "article title", magazine name (or book title in italics), volume, issue, page/publisher, place of publication, page.
+ For ancient books or archived documents: Name of work (italicized), archive source, reference number, page number.
+ With internet documents: link, access date and time.
- Papers and summaries presented in the above format must be sent electronically in Word format via email to vtnt.ht@tnti.edu.vn. The email title must clearly state: “Name of the author of the paper – Paper submitted to the Conference”; the electronic file must be named: “Name of the author of the paper – Title of the paper”. The email will be considered sent successfully when there is a response email from the Organizing Committee.
- Submitting a paper to the conference means that the author agrees to publish the paper in the Conference Proceedings (if the paper is selected after closed review).
4. ORGANIZATION PROCESS- Deadline for receiving summary and full text reports: before July 30, 2021.
- Deadline for announcing review results: before August 30, 2021.
- Author's deadline for resubmitting report after review: before September 15, 2021.
