According to the new regulations of VNU, the electronic lecture system is standardized to be used for the formal learning management system (Learning Management System - LMS) or to provide for the open learning material system (Massive Open Online Courses - MOOC) for students to self-study and supplement their knowledge of related fields. Based on this regulation, VNU lecturers design and complete the system of lectures at levels from simple to complex, providing a modern digital learning material system for the VNU digital library in the coming time.

Accordingly, online training and standardization of technical standards for building electronic lectures are part of a series of innovative teaching activities at VNU. The implementation of this regulation allows training units of VNU to quickly access advanced educational technology combined with traditional teaching methods to form a diverse and rich academic space through the contribution of a multimedia electronic learning materials system (lectures, narrations, sounds, images, videos, audio, graphics, etc.); learning methods through mobile devices: smartphones, tablets, interactive screens, etc. Thanks to that, learners can self-study anytime, anywhere to complete a part of the program according to the credit training method. At the same time, training units with learning management systems can make the most of blended learning.
In addition, this new regulation of VNU also opens up new teaching directions through the construction of lectures, virtual experiments or computer simulations. Methods of testing and evaluating learners based on modern measurement testing theory are gradually applied to online tools and information technology platforms thanks to the implementation of electronic modules/courses.
This is an important document in concretizing the core tasks of the 6th Party Congress of VNU on digital transformation and application of advanced educational technology.
The application and implementation of online training through the system of electronic lectures aims to expand the scope of students outside VNU, international students to exchange learning, study on demand and lifelong learning. This is also an inevitable trend of education 4.0 through the application of information and communication technology in teaching and learning; maximizing the capacity for self-study, self-research, and personalized training.
