I. PURPOSE
Business Challenges 2018is a competition inherited and upgraded from the UEB Genesis Start-up Competition initiated by the University of Sydney and the University of Economics (UEB) since 2016.
Purpose of the contest:
- Create an environment for young people in Hanoi and neighboring provinces to develop startup ideas and solve problems in practical business operations of enterprises.
- Create connections between the entrepreneurial community, investors with startup ideas and business solutions.
- Contribute to future career orientation for young people.
II. TIME OF ORGANIZATION
CompetitionBusiness Challenges 2018officially starts on April 27, 2018 and ends on December 27, 2018.
III. PARTICIPANTS
- Young people who are studying or have graduated from colleges and universities and are currently living and working in Hanoi or neighboring provinces.
- You can register as a team or as an individual. For those who register individually, the organizing committee will base on your wishes to form a team.
- Each competing team is allowed to have a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 10 members.
IV. CONTEST RULES
- The contest consists of 2 main branches:
- Branch 1: Startup.
- Branch 2: Solving practical business problems (Human Resources, Marketing, Finance...).
- Contestants must register and complete the procedures as instructed.
- 1 person can only register as a member of 1 team.
- Each team must have at least 1 member who is a student studying at a College or University.
- Each team can only choose to compete in 1 Branch within the competition.
- For teams that need to find more members, the Organizing Committee will support.

➢ Branch 2 presents an off-topic about a practical business situation.

❖ July 21 – August 31, 2018: Contest teams complete their projects
❖ August 16, 2018: Workshop 6 – Topic: Issues to note when calling for investment capital
❖ September 4 - September 8, 2018:
➢ First round of fundraising (Branch 1)
➢ Evaluate the progress of work settlement at the enterprise (Branch 2)
❖ September 10, 2018: Announcement of Round 3 results
4. Round 4: Speed up
❖ September 11 – October 27, 2018: Contest teams continue to complete their projects
❖ October 29 - November 3, 2018:
➢ Second round of fundraising (Branch 1)
➢ Evaluate the progress of work settlement at the enterprise (Branch 2)
❖ November 15, 2018: Announcement of Round 4 results
5. Round 5: Shining
❖ November 16 – December 8, 2018: Contest teams continue to complete their projects
❖ 10/12/2018: Preliminary results
❖ December 27, 2018: Final Gala
VI. PRIZE STRUCTURE
- 1 First Prize: 50,000,000 VND
- 1 Second Prize: 20,000,000 VND
- 1 Third Prize: 10,000,000 VND
- 1 Potential Prize: 5,000,000 VND
VII. GENERAL PROVISIONS
- The Organizing Committee has the right to cancel the eligibility of the participating teams if it finds that the behavior does not comply with the competition regulations. All decisions of the Organizing Committee will be notified to the participating teams or contestants.within 24 hours of decision.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to adjust the competition rules or change the timing of rounds or side activities if necessary. Any changes will be notified to the participating teams.within 24 hours of decision.
- Images, names and personal information filled in the contest registration form of the participating teams and of each member of the participating teams, and contest entries will be used by the Organizing Committee for contest activities without any additional conditions except for activities prohibited by law.
- The information provided by the contestant team to the Organizing Committee must be complete and valid. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for any incorrect information.

- The decision of the Organizing Committee is final in all cases of disputes and complaints related to the organization of the contest.
