The University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces training for students who have passed the supplementary admission exam in 2012. Students who have registered for supplementary admission exam and have been recognized as being admitted are eligible to register for high-quality training programs (except students who have passed the A block entrance exam for Philosophy major, who must achieve 17 points or more). On September 12, 2012, the University organized the first entrance exam for the high-quality training program in Management Science and Literature. After September 14, 2012, the enrollment quota for the second round of Management Science and Literature majors (in the announcement below) will be updated on this website.

I. Enrollment in high quality training programs
1. Target: 100: Literature - 25, History - 25, Philosophy - 20 and Management Science - 30.
2. Student rights:In addition to the general rights of students in the regular training system, students of high-quality bachelor training programs also enjoy the following rights: - Being directly taught and guided in scientific research by leading scientists, professors, and lecturers with high qualifications and professional prestige. - Being able to participate in 01 free extracurricular course/semester during the course to improve lifelong learning capacity, job-seeking capacity and personal development. - Being given priority to be granted an electronic library account of VNU, priority to use learning materials, facilities, technical equipment, libraries, and internet systems for studying and scientific research. - Being given priority to be arranged accommodation in dormitories from the second year of study; being given annual cards to buy textbooks and reference materials for free at publishers and bookstores as prescribed by the School. - Receive study encouragement scholarships (expected type A: 560,000 VND/month, type B: 520,000 VND/month, type C: 480,000 VND/month) and scholarships sponsored by domestic and foreign organizations and individuals. - Receive priority in selection to study abroad according to the State's quota or according to international cooperation programs in accordance with the high-quality undergraduate training goals of VNU and the School. - Upon graduation, receive priority in consideration for transfer to graduate school and doctoral studies or selection to become lecturers and researchers of VNU.

Selection objectsStudents admitted to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2012 (direct admission, entrance exam, regardless of major), meet the requirements for foreign language proficiency test and essay writing, and satisfy one of the following conditions: a. Won third prize or higher in the national excellent student competition for grade 12 (2011, 2012) b. Was an excellent student for 3 consecutive years in high school (grade 10, 11, 12) c. Graduated from specialized high school of universities or provinces, centrally-run cities d. - Được học theo chương trình đào tạo ngành Tâm lí học có tăng cường thêm 440 giờ học tiếng Pháp và học một số môn chuyên ngành bằng tiếng Pháp.

Những sinh viên đã trúng tuyển vào Trường Đại học Khoa học Xã hội và Nhân văn năm 2012 (diện vào thẳng, diện thi tuyển, không phân biệt trúng tuyển ngành nào), đạt yêu cầu kiểm tra trình độ ngoại ngữ và có điểm thi đại học (tính cả điểm ưu tiên khu vực và đối tượng): Khối A từ 18 điểm, khối B từ 19.5 điểm, khối C từ 20 điểm, khối D từ 18.5 điểm, được đăng kí xét tuyển.
3.2. Selection method
Xét tuyển theo điểm thi đại học trong số sinh viên đạt yêu cầu về trình độ ngoại ngữ, có ưu tiên những sinh viên đã học tiếng Pháp ở phổ thông trung học.

VI. Regulations on essay and English exams
1. Essay writing test
Bài viết luận thực hiện trong thời gian 60 phút, không quy định số từ/số trang của bài viết. Đề thi về những vấn đề liên quan đến ngành học mà sinh viên đăng kí xét tuyển.
2. English test
- Bài thi tiếng Anh thực hiện trong thời gian 60 phút.
- Bài thi gồm 3 phần
+ Phần I (Ngữ pháp và Từ vựng) có 10 câu hỏi với dạng thức là chọn đáp án đúng. Ngữ liệu cho trước là câu chưa hoàn chỉnh và đáp án gợi ý A,B,C,D
+ Phần II (Đọc hiểu) có 2 đoạn văn:
a) Ngữ liệu cho trước là đoạn văn khoảng 120 đến 150 từ, có 5 câu hỏi hoặc 5 câu chưa hoàn chỉnh với 4 đáp án lựa chọn A,B,C,D dựa theo nội dung bài đọc. Sinh viên trả lời theo dạng thức chọn đáp án đúng.
b) Ngữ liệu cho trước là đoạn văn khoảng 100 từ với 10 chỗ trống. Có 10 câu hỏi và sinh viên phải trả lời theo dạng thức điền từ/đoạn từ vào chỗ trống.
+ Phần III (Viết) có 2 yêu cầu:
a) Ngữ liệu cho trước là các từ gợi ý. Có 5 câu hỏi và sinh viên phải viết thành 5 câu hoàn chỉnh.
b) Ngữ liệu cho trước là chủ đề kèm theo một số gợi ý, sinh viên viết 1 đoạn văn khoảng 80 – 100 từ.
Part 2: English proficiency test for exemption from study and recognition of English credits
1. Using exam results:
Kết quả kì thi được phân loại theo trình độ bậc A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 và C2. Sinh viên đạt trình độ nào được miễn học, nhận điểm tối đa cho học phần tương ứng và các học phần ở trình độ bậc thấp hơn. Ví dụ: Sinh viên thi đạt trình độ B1 thì sinh viên được công nhận điểm A+ cho các môn Tiếng Anh A1, Tiếng Anh A2, Tiếng Anh B1 với tổng thời lượng là 14 tín chỉ. Sinh viên được miễn học phí của các môn học này.
2. Exam time: Ngày 23/09/2012 (7h00: thi Nghe, Từ vựng- Ngữ pháp, Đọc, Viết; 13h00 thi Nói.)
3. Exam location: At building A2, University of Foreign Languages (Pham Van Dong street, Cau Giay district, Hanoi)
4. Exam fees: 150,000 VND (one hundred and fifty thousand VND). Pay at the place of registration.
5. Register for the contest: At Room 604, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities
6. Registration time: From the date of admission to September 20, 2012 (during office hours)
7. Students need to remember:
- Students of International Studies, Psychology, Literature, Sociology, Literature Pedagogy, and History Pedagogy who register for the English proficiency test will be allowed to postpone the political studies at the beginning of the course and transfer to study with additional admitted students. The Training Department will transfer the list of deferred students to the Department of Politics and Student Affairs.
- The list of examination rooms will be announced 5 days before the examination date on the website of the University of Foreign Languages (http://www.ulis.vnu.edu.vn) in the Training section - Foreign language training in VNU - Announcements.
- The exam results are expected to be announced on September 27, 2012.
- During the period from the date of admission to September 27, 2012, students who have registered for this exam do not have to study English in the timetable given to students by the School on the date of admission. When the exam results are available, the School will notify students specifically about their studies.
