Spring BN@ 19:38, August 27, 2012 I scored 21.5 on the university entrance exam for Group C and I really want to apply for supplementary admissions, but the school I applied to (Police Academy) hasn't sent me my score report yet (according to the school's response, the report won't be available until after September 2nd). Meanwhile, the deadline for submitting applications is August 29th. So, could you please extend the application deadline by a few days? This would give us a better chance of being considered for admission. Thank you very much!page@ 08:18, 28/08/2012 Dear teachers, if the supplementary admissions date is postponed like that, students will be very worried. Could you please consider ending it earlier? And will the school increase the number of places? The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to 5 PM on September 7, 2012, at the request of the Ministry of Education and Training, and all schools must comply. The reason is that many candidates have not yet received their score reports from the schools, so the deadline had to be postponed.
hiep@ 16:05, 25/08/2012 Hello teacher, I would like to ask, when there are many candidates with the same score but the number of places is limited, what method will be used for selection?Nguyen Thanh Mai@ 17:58, August 25, 2012 Dear teacher, In the case of multiple students having the same score, how will the school select the candidates?Thuy Tien@ 19:13, August 26, 2012 Dear teachers, I have a question and would like your opinion on the supplementary admissions process for the remaining 8 majors at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. The school's website will post information for all registered candidates. However, the number of places is limited, and as far as I know, many candidates have the same score (including priority points). So, if the number of places is 15, but the 16th candidate still has the same score as those ranked 13th, 14th, and 15th, it will be unfair to those candidates. Could you please clarify this for me? Thank you.gem@ 13:37, August 28, 2012 Dear teachers, I have submitted my application for the Linguistics major at your university. When reviewing the second round of applications, I noticed many students with the same score of 20 (including priority points), exceeding the university's quota of 16 for the D group. I would like to know how the university will conduct the selection process given this situation and whether the quota will be increased to accommodate this number of applicants.hoai@ 14:56, 29/08/2012 I would like to ask, if there are many students with the same score in the final supplementary admission round, how will the school handle the situation? Thank you.Russia@ 08:30, August 30, 2012 Hello teachers. I checked the school's website and as of today, August 30th, 18 students with 21.5 points in Block C have applied for the Linguistics major (no one scored higher), while the quota for Block C is only 10. I also researched the supplementary admissions process and found that all candidates with the same total score have equal opportunities. So, I would like to ask: suppose by the deadline of September 7th, there are 20 students with the same total score of 21.5, and no one scores higher, how will the school consider adjusting the quota for this department? Will the school increase the quota for Block C students by 10 and decrease the quota for Block D students by 10? Or will they not accept any Block C students at all? I hope you can answer my question. I would like to express my sincere gratitude. The school must adhere to two principles in the supplementary admissions process: 1. Accept applications based on the announced scores, selecting from highest to lowest scores until all quotas are filled. 2. Do not exceed the announced quotas. Currently, all 8/8 supplementary admissions programs are experiencing a situation where many applicants have the same score. For example, as of August 31, 2012, the Sociology program (Block C) has 5 quotas, but at the highest score of 21.5 points, there were 9 applicants. Similarly, the Linguistics program (Block C) has 10 quotas, and candidates from number 3 to number 24 on the list have the same score of 21.5 points. In these situations, if the school were to recruit exactly the announced quota, it would certainly result in exceeding the quota. Therefore, the school's admissions committee had to wait until September 7th, 2012, and review the final list before making a final decision.
Nguyen Vu Thuy Hanh@ 12:21, August 28, 2012 I have a question. On August 27th, I went to the school to submit my application for supplementary admission, but on August 28th, when I opened the school's website, only a few other students were listed, and my name wasn't there. Could it be that the school has already selected other students for admission? Even though we had the same score. Could you please explain this to me? Thank you.THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. If by today, September 3rd, 2012, you still don't see your name on the list, please call 01297714454 immediately for direct consideration.
Tran Van Tuan@ 20:52, August 25, 2012 Dear teachers, I have a question: I submitted my supplementary application on August 24th, but as of August 25th, my name is still not on the supplementary application list on the school's website. What should I do? My name is Tran Van Tuan, I applied to the Information Science major (Block D) and scored 18 points.Phan Thi Thanh@ 09:00, August 27, 2012 Dear teachers, on August 23, 2012, I went to the post office and sent my application for admission to the Anthropology department of the university by express mail. I don't know if the application has arrived yet! Currently, I checked the list of applicants for the second round of admissions and my name is not yet on it. I am very worried. So, when will my application arrive? I hope you can reply soon.Nguyen Thi Thu@ 09:49, August 29, 2012 Dear teachers, my younger sister scored 17.5 points on the A-block exam. On August 27th, she submitted her second choice application to the Philosophy department of the university, but her name is still not on the list of candidates who submitted their second choice. Is there a problem? If by today, September 3rd, 2012, your name is not on the list, please call 04.38585237 and speak to Mr. Hong or Mr. Kham so they can check for you.
Nguyen Manh Diep@ 11:58, August 25, 2012 Dear teachers! I have submitted my second application to the Philosophy department of the university. Now I want to withdraw my application to photocopy my score report and send it to another university. After that, can I reapply to the Philosophy department? I would appreciate your answer!According to the regulations, if I were you, I would withdraw the submitted application (but before 5 PM on September 4th, 2012, because withdrawals are not allowed after that deadline) and then resubmit it (but before 5 PM on September 7th, 2012, because submissions are not allowed after that deadline). Of course, remember to prepare an additional 15,000 VND to resubmit. Why couldn't I figure that out? It's easy!
Pham Thi Hanh@ 16:25, 25/08/2012 I applied for the second round of admissions to the Anthropology department, but during the university's admissions period, I found out I wasn't accepted into the program I applied for. So, when withdrawing my application and applying to another program at the same university, do I need to use my new results certificate? Because I've already submitted my remaining results certificate to another university. You can just use the documents you already submitted to transfer them. However, please choose carefully because all majors have high admission scores and a large number of applications, but the number of available places is insufficient to meet all the demand.
ward@ 14:44, 25/08/2012 I got 21.5 in the entrance exam. What majors in Hanoi can I apply for as my second choice?I can't answer your question because the B-block at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities only accepts students into Psychology, and that major doesn't have any supplementary admissions. For other universities, you'll have to ask around, just like you're asking here.
Bui Thi Hue@ 18:22, August 26, 2012 Greetings to all teachers! I have a question and I would greatly appreciate your help. As far as I know, the number of places for the Linguistics major is 26, comprising groups C and D. Does the school have a clear regulation specifying the number of places for group C and group D? Thank you very much, teachers! Please read the admissions section carefully, including the article about "Admission cutoff scores in 2012". That article clearly addresses your question.
Bui Thi Nhu Yen@ 17:22, August 27, 2012 Dear teachers, I am applying for supplementary admission to the University of Education. How can I know if my application has arrived? I'm worried it might have gotten lost. Please help me with this. Thank you.Regarding this question, I've decided to tell you that you should go to the University of Education to ask them.
Thuy@ 08:18, August 28, 2012 Dear teachers, it's already August 28th, and I still haven't seen the results of the selection process for candidates from the 62 poorest districts. When will the results be available, and where can I check them? Thank you. It's true that it wasn't available on August 28th, but it was available on August 29th, 2012.
Dinh Xuan Truong@ 08:44, August 28, 2012 Dear teachers! I would like to ask if, after the review of my exam score, if it is higher, will I still be considered for admission? And if so, how? I'm afraid I won't have enough time to wait for the new score report. Please check the answers to the questions from August 20-25, 2012 to find your answer.
trangmummim@ 17:38, 28/08/2012 I want to ask if I apply to your school as my second choice, will I be able to get my score report back?Your question is too difficult to understand, so I can't answer it.
Trang Nhung@ 08:07, 29/08/2012 Dear Professor/Teacher, I failed my first choice (NV1) for the Journalism and Communication department at your university with a score of 21 (Block C). I want to register for my second choice (NV2) for the Anthropology department. I would like to ask if, after being accepted into the university for my second choice, I can apply to transfer to the Journalism department next year? No, my dear. If you want to study Journalism, you either need to ask the Principal for permission to retake the university entrance exam in 2013, or if you have the opportunity to pursue a double degree in Journalism and Anthropology, then you should register for it.
Thanh Hanh@ 11:52, August 29, 2012 Dear Professors! My younger sister scored 19 points on the Hanoi Law University entrance exam but wasn't admitted in her first choice. The university hasn't sent her score report yet. I understand that we can submit our score reports via the website, and the university will request additional documents when we are admitted in our second choice. Is this information correct? And I would like to apply for admission to the university and the History major in my second choice. What steps should I take to ensure my application is valid? Thank you, Professors!Candidates applying for supplementary admissions (what I call second-choice admissions) must submit their applications in person; there's no such thing as registering online and then submitting the documents later. Please refer to the article "Supplementary Admissions 2012" on the admissions website for detailed regulations on this matter.
Nguyen Vu Thuy Hanh@ 19:59, 30/08/2012 I'd like to ask why, when I submitted my application, my score was >600, but the list showed >1000? Also, there are many other students with the same score of 19.5 as me; how will they be considered? Will they be ranked according to the order of application submission?Besides applicants who submit their applications in person, there are also applicants who submit their applications by mail. When you see your application number at 600, but the post office is delivering more than that number at the time, it's obvious that by the time you check the website, it will be over 1000.
