Announcement regarding the PonyChung Scholarship application process, South Korea, for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Based on Official Letter No. 3878/ĐHQGHN-CT&CTHSSV dated August 21, 2024, from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, regarding the selection of students to receive the PonyChung Scholarship, South Korea, for the academic year 2024-2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces the selection process for the PonyChung Scholarship, South Korea, for the academic year 2024-2025, with the following details:
1. Eligibility and selection criteria
- Students who achieve excellent academic results and good conduct results in the 2023-2024 academic year.
- Priority will be given to students participating in scientific research and student union/association activities.
Social and community activism, disadvantaged background, and a desire to participate in an exchange program/master's degree program at Korea University, South Korea.
- Have not received or are currently under consideration for any non-budgetary scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year.
2. Value of each scholarship:600 USD per student per academic year.
3. Scholarship quotas:The school will select and nominate 6 students, with a male/female ratio of 50%, for consideration by Hanoi National University based on the submitted student applications.
4. Scholarship application documents
- Student's academic transcript for the 2023-2024 school year, certified by the training institution;
- Student resume, with photo (according to the following template);
- An essay exploring the Pony Chung Scholarship Program in South Korea (typed and written in Vietnamese; translation into English or Korean is encouraged);
- A typed acceptance speech (clearly stating the applicant's aspirations/desires to participate in the exchange program/master's degree program offered by the scholarship program).
Funding from the Pony Chung Foundation, if any; written in Vietnamese, translation into English or Korean is encouraged.
- Supporting documents such as: Foreign language certificates, Youth Union/Association activities, social and community activities, scientific research, family circumstances, etc. (if any).
Students applying for scholarships: Applications should include scanned documents, arranged in the order listed above, into a single PDF file. The file name should be the student's full name. Please send the file to bang@ussh.edu.vn before 5:00 PM on September 9, 2024 (Monday).
