According to the Invitation Letter from the Director of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, in the 2025-2026 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is nominated a total of 04 candidates among its faculty to apply for the Doctoral Scholarship program.
In keeping with the mission of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, nominated scholars must be working in the humanities and social sciences with a cultural focus, and be academically oriented rather than applied. Special preference will be given to scholars whose research is comparative in focus and includes one or more Asian countries.
The scholarship will provide tuition fees for candidates to undertake a PhD at the National University of Singapore, with one year of research/dissertation writing at Harvard University.
Applicants will apply through the Harvard-Yenching Institute's online application system. Applicants must be nominated by their home university.
