According to the invitation letter from the Director of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, for the 2025-2026 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is invited to nominate a total of four faculty members to apply for the Doctoral Scholarship program.
To align with the mission of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, nominated scholars must work in the social sciences and humanities with a focus on culture, and have a research orientation that is more academic than applied. Particular preference will be given to scholars whose research focuses on comparison and includes one or more Asian countries.
The scholarship will cover tuition fees for applicants pursuing doctoral studies at the National University of Singapore, with one year of research/dissertation writing at Harvard University.
Applicants will submit their applications through the Harvard-Yenching Institute's online application system. Applicants must be nominated by the university where they are currently employed.
