CUCA UNI #2 – ART EDUCATION PROJECT
ORGANIZED IN COLLABORATION BY CUCA VIETNAM AND THE FACULTY OF LITERATURE, UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES
The CUCA UNI educational project introduces a different approach to thinking and creativity, aiming to unlock and maximize individual potential through the use of artistic materials. The project helps enhance the capacity for appreciating the spirit of art, and more broadly, oneself and the world around us – through self-directed personal projects, questioning fundamental aspects of oneself, and discovering hidden abilities through art.
The project has no age or educational background restrictions for participants, whether they are high school students, graduate students, or working professionals, as long as they have a desire to develop themselves, enrich their spiritual experiences, and enhance their creative potential to benefit their work and life.
The CUCA UNI project, organized by CUCA Vietnam in collaboration with the Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, officially opens registration for two courses in Batch #2, starting from March 30, 2017.

1. Artistic Thinking for Creativity
Art, beyond its direct understanding as painting and fine arts, also encompasses creative skills, the process of using them, and the results of that creative activity. Art is also a general term for disciplines requiring skill, imagination, and dexterity – the highest form of human creativity. Artistic thinking, while often considered an innate talent, is actually a skill that can be developed and learned through appropriate training methods.
The course "Artistic Thinking for Creativity," with its teaching methodology designed based on the characteristics of each student, will help expand and optimize each individual's potential to develop interesting and effective problem-solving methods.
Instructor: Visual artist Pham Dieu Huong
► PROGRAM CONTENT
The course will require participants to work on a personal project: this project can aim to solve a problem in the participant's own life or a societal issue. During the project implementation, guidance from instructors will help learners begin to explore their own abilities, understand the creative process, and develop problem-solving skills suited to their characteristics.
The course does not provide theories, processes, or tools for creativity; instead, learners will experience and formulate their own theories of creativity after working on projects.
► TARGET AUDIENCE: This course is for individuals who wish to unlock their personal potential and enhance their creativity in problem-solving.
The course accepts a maximum of 12 students, with priority given to those who register early and fulfill their financial obligations as required. Registration will close once the maximum number of students is reached.

2. Contemporary Dance
Dance is a performing art form, primarily based on body movements – with distinctive aesthetic and symbolic values. However, in CUCA UNI's Contemporary Dance course, the characteristics of dance are simplified to focus more on addressing the emotions and unresolved personal anxieties of the learner. The course, which doesn't focus on movement technique, offers a natural approach to enhancing mastery and conveying messages and emotions through body language.
The "Contemporary Dance" course will help students listen to the voice of their body, mind, and emotions, thereby recognizing and resolving internal issues within themselves; thus unlocking their potential and finding harmony between mind and body.
Instructor: Visual artist Pham Dieu Huong
► PROGRAM CONTENT
Phase 1: 9 sessions
- Learn about and explore the expressions of body language.
- Familiarize yourself with and practice movement skills.
- Learn to express and become familiar with emotions through body movements.
- Identify and find solutions to internal problems.
Phase 2: 3 sessions
- Develop performance ideas and build the structure of the segments.
- Finalize ideas and develop a performance program to conclude the course.
► TARGET AUDIENCE: This course is for anyone who wants to explore their movement potential, understand and address personal emotional and psychological issues through body movement practice. The course also helps participants achieve greater fluidity and naturalness in expression, become more balanced, and more confident in life.
Participants do not need any dancing skills or experience; they just need to be confident in their own physical abilities.
The course accepts a maximum of 12 students, with priority given to those who register early and fulfill their financial obligations as required. Registration will close once the maximum number of students is reached.
