Attending the ceremony were Comrade Dao Ngoc Dung - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the National Assembly's Committee on Citizen Petitions; and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - Head of the Training Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

This year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded doctoral degrees to 81 graduate students who completed their training programs in 25 disciplines: Journalism, Political Science, Ho Chi Minh Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, Chinese Studies, Sino-Vietnamese Studies, Archaeology, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Historiography and Historical Sources, World History, Modern and Contemporary World History, Vietnamese History, Linguistics Theory, Linguistics, Vietnamese Linguistics, Comparative and Contrastive Linguistics, Social Psychology, Religious Studies, Literary and Historical Materialism, Scientific Socialism, Literary Theory, North American Literature, Folklore, Vietnamese Literature, and Sociology.

Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Rector of the University, presented the PhD degree to the new Doctor of Philosophy, Nguyen Thi Thu Huong (Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities).
On behalf of the university's leadership, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Rector, delivered a speech congratulating the new PhD graduates on their success and expressing gratitude to the professors, associate professors, and doctors who have directly contributed to the achievements in the university's postgraduate training activities today.
Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan also expressed his hope that the new PhD graduates would continue to achieve new successes in their research, combining the knowledge accumulated at the University with their current jobs, so that they could make even more outstanding contributions to their units, the University, and society.

Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan presented certificates of merit to 05 doctoral students who achieved excellent academic results and successfully defended their dissertations ahead of schedule.
Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Nguyen Dinh Duc affirmed that Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) pays special attention to and always seeks solutions to improve the quality of postgraduate training, especially doctoral training. He stated that the doctoral graduates trained here will be the representative image and proof of VNU's training and research quality to society. Professor Nguyen Dinh Duc also hoped that the new doctoral graduates would not only utilize the knowledge and skills cultivated here but also be empowered by the tradition and pride of a university over 100 years old, which is constantly affirming its name and prestige on the regional and international education map.
