Closing ceremony of the Korean language course for Samsung Electronics Vietnam employees.

Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Lee Joon Sik, Director of Human Resources and Administration of Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Bac Ninh; Mr. Lai Hoang Dung, Head of Training Department of the company; and Ms. Luong Ngoc Vinh, Deputy Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and Dr. Luu Tuan Anh, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies.

MSc. Luong Ngoc Vinh, on behalf of the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, presented certificates to the trainees.

On behalf of the faculty of the Department of Oriental Studies and several other Korean lecturers who participated in the training course, Dr. Le Thi Giang summarized some information and results of the course.

The course lasted approximately 3 months, from October 3rd to December 24th, 2016, with about 720 hours of study. Students attended classes from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, averaging 10 hours of continuous study per day. The instructors conducted regular 10-minute quizzes at the beginning of each class. In addition, the course included three comprehensive assessments in the 4th, 8th, and 12th weeks.

Overall, the course results show that 3 students achieved excellent grades and 12 students achieved good grades.

At the end of the course, the five highest-achieving students and one most promising student were awarded encouragement prizes by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for their excellent academic results.

Representing Samsung, Mr. Lee Joon Sik, Director of Human Resources and Administration at Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Bac Ninh, expressed his sincere gratitude to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in general, and the lecturers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in particular, for dedicating their time and effort to training the company's outstanding employees in Korean.

Mr. Lee Joon Sik also hopes that his outstanding employees, after completing the course, will return to contribute to the further development of the company's operations, while continuing to maintain a spirit of learning and further improve their Korean language skills through self-study to build a rich vocabulary.

At the ceremony, the students participating in the course performed several musical and artistic acts in Korean, partly demonstrating the results of their Korean language studies after three months at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
