Accordingly, the 2020 admission plan of Hanoi National University includes: (1) Direct admission for candidates meeting the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi National University; (2) Admission based on the results of the Hanoi National University's aptitude test; and (3) Admission based on candidate's application.
The VNU entrance exam tests the basic abilities of candidates, including:

- (2) Essay writing (60 minutes)
