On May 4, 2020, the 2020 University Admissions Steering Committee of VNU met and discussed the 2020 university admissions plan. Based on the analysis of the latest information on the high school exam, and considering the need to reduce pressure on candidates due to having to take multiple exams in the context of the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic, VNU decided not to implement a separate capacity assessment exam for VNU admissions, but to use the high school exam results for admissions.

New information about the 2020 regular university entrance exam to VNU

Thus, the enrollment plan of VNU this year is basically unchanged and stable as in 2019, specifically:

1. Expand the subjects of direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the regulations and instructions of VNU.

2. Admission based on 2020 high school exam results.

3. Consider candidates using international certificates SAT, A-Level, IELTS and other secondary criteria (training units will specify according to the requirements of training programs).

In case the Covid-19 epidemic lasts long, hindering the 2020 high school graduation exam, VNU will organize admission based on high school academic results combined with remote assessment and testing.
