The School's Trade Union received a certificate of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The conference to summarize the union work of the 2007-2008 school year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place on September 30, 2008. Guests from VNU included Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Kim Dinh - Chairman of VNU Trade Union.

The conference to summarize the union work of the 2007-2008 school year of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place on September 30, 2008. Guests from VNU included Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Kim Dinh - Chairman of VNU Trade Union.

In the 2007-2008 school year, the School Union had 517 members, including 260 female cadres, active in 20 departmental unions and affiliated union groups. Among them were 06 professors, 56 associate professors, the number of cadres with postgraduate degrees was 300 (79.36%), including 120 PhDs and 178 masters. In the past school year, the School Union made worthy contributions to the comprehensive development of the School in many areas of work: political and ideological work, management work, professional work, work to care for union members' lives, women's work, participation in social activities, building party and union organizations, etc.

In the 2008-2009 school year, the School's trade union work will focus on a number of key issues: innovating and improving the effectiveness of political and ideological work; participating in team building and implementing the School's key tasks; doing well in social and charity work, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, and building a strong trade union organization.

During the 2007-2008 school year, many groups and individuals received certificates of merit from trade unions at all levels:

  • Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities;
  • Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for 01 individual;
  • Certificate of Merit from Vietnam Education Trade Union for 01 collective;
  • Certificates of merit from the VNU Trade Union for 37 individuals and 10 groups;
  • Certificates of merit from the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for 92 individuals.
