In the 2007-2008 academic year, the University's Trade Union had 517 members, including 260 female staff members, organized into 20 departmental and affiliated trade union branches. Among them were 6 professors, 56 associate professors, and 300 staff members (79.36%) with postgraduate qualifications, including 120 PhDs and 178 Master's degrees. During the past academic year, the University's Trade Union made significant contributions to the comprehensive development of the University in many areas of work: political and ideological work, management, professional work, welfare for members, women's affairs, participation in social activities, and building the Party and trade union organizations.
During the 2008-2009 academic year, the school's trade union activities will focus on several key issues: innovating and improving the effectiveness of political and ideological work; participating in building the workforce and implementing the school's key tasks; doing good social and charitable work; caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members; and building a strong trade union organization.
