The conference of young cadres of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was held on March 22, 2008 with the participation of many young cadres and representatives of leaders of units in the school. The conference is an opportunity for the school to review and evaluate the current situation of this team, thereby proposing solutions to improve the quality of the young cadres in the coming time. This is also an opportunity for the brothers and sisters to directly dialogue with the school leaders and express their wishes.

Currently, the school has 507 staff, of which 242 are under 35 years old, accounting for 47.5%. In recent years, the young staff has made many positive contributions to the school in many fields. Compared to previous years, the professional level and foreign language proficiency of this team has increased. Many people have research projects and many activities that are highly appreciated by society. In particular, proactiveness, creativity, quickness, and a spirit of progress are the advantages of young staff. In addition to directly participating in teaching, many of our staff participate in management work, holding many important positions in the school's apparatus, in party cells, departmental union executive committees... Identifying the young staff as a particularly important force, the next generation of leading professors and scientists today, the school has taken many effective measures to support and help our staff in their work and study.

Speaking at the conference, some opinions pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the current training and use of young cadres such as: young cadres have difficult lives, which affects their work and study; they have to take on many jobs outside their expertise, which affects the quality of their work; some people have not tried hard enough and do not know how to arrange their work properly to focus their time on improving their qualifications to meet standards; some units have not promptly urged young cadres to complete their assigned targets; many fields of study do not have a doctoral training code so that young cadres can take the exam; improving foreign language proficiency for young cadres faces many difficulties...

Proposing solutions to address the above limitations, some opinions stated: The school needs to take advantage of all external support sources to improve the professional and foreign language qualifications of young staff; continue to open foreign language classes and promote sending staff to study foreign languages abroad; encourage and prioritize young staff to receive topics at all levels; based on the registration for the PhD exam of individuals, combined with the general planning, the school plans to report to VNU to allocate appropriate quotas...
