On the morning of March 29, the final match of the 5th Men's Student Football Tournament of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place between the two teams of the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Archives and Office Management (LTH&QTVP). Although they were considered to be more physically fit and experienced, the players of the Faculty of Archives and Office Management were behind in the first half. And it was not until the second half that they were able to level the score.
On the morning of March 29, the final match of the 5th Men's Student Football Tournament of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place between the two teams of the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Archives and Office Management (LTH&QTVP). With the score tied 1-1 in the two regular periods, the two teams had to decide the winner on the 11m mark. In the first 5 kicks, luck came to the Philosophy Faculty team when they defeated their opponents with a score of 3-2. Thus, after 8 years, the championship returned to the Philosophy Faculty team.
Right after the final match was the Closing Ceremony. At the end of the tournament, in addition to the championship, the Faculty of Philosophy team also won the Style Award and player Nguyen Van Ha was voted the Best Player of the tournament. The teams of the Faculty of Literature and the Faculty of Sociology shared the Third Prize. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded other individual prizes: The Player with the Most Goals Award went to Nguyen Ngoc Hung (Faculty of History); The Best Goalkeeper Award went to Nguyen Hoai Thu (Faculty of History).
The 5th Men's Student Football Tournament of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place from February 23, 2008 to March 29, 2008 with the participation of 272 players from 13 teams, divided into 4 groups. This tournament was considered to have superiority in terms of expertise with 60 goals scored in 22 matches. The matches were attractive, exciting, dramatic in the spirit of noble sportsmanship, honesty and solidarity between the players as well as the teams on the field. Through this tournament, the School will select a School-level team to participate in tournaments outside the school in the coming time.
