Storytelling contest about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh

On March 22, 2008, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities jointly organized a storytelling competition about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. Fifteen teams from the Faculty's Youth Union branches, Faculty's Trade Unions, and affiliated units participated in the competition.

On March 22, 2008, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities jointly organized a storytelling competition about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. Fifteen teams from the Faculty's Youth Union branches, Faculty's Trade Unions, and affiliated units participated in the competition.

Each team participated in two main parts of the competition: firstly, a storytelling competition about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, using illustrative forms such as singing, dancing, and dramatization, thereby expressing the feelings and understanding of the storyteller and relating it to current life; secondly, a public speaking competition on a topic given by the judging panel.

With diverse forms of expression, the teams' performances highlighted the authentic and vivid moral example of Ho Chi Minh in many aspects: Ho Chi Minh's morality is the morality of a great sage, a great benefactor, and a great hero, yet incredibly simple and close to the people, dedicating his entire life to the cause of national liberation and class liberation; Ho Chi Minh's morality - the morality of willpower, determination, and fervent patriotism; Ho Chi Minh's morality - the morality of a person who absolutely trusts and respects the people; Ho Chi Minh's morality - compassion, selflessness, and devotion to humanity; Ho Chi Minh's morality - the morality of diligence, frugality, integrity, righteousness, impartiality, and a simple, pure lifestyle...


At the end of the competition, first prize went to the Faculty of Oriental Studies team, second prize to the Faculty of Journalism team, and third prize to the Faculty of Management Science team. Five consolation prizes were awarded to the teams from Psychology, Literature, Linguistics, Tourism Studies, and the combined team of Political Science - Physical Education - Foreign Languages.

The competition is an activity aimed at promoting and educating cadres, Party members, and students to study, cultivate, and train themselves according to the example of President Ho Chi Minh, especially to motivate and encourage the younger generation to relate and apply those moral lessons in their work and daily lives.
