On March 22, 2008, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities jointly organized a storytelling contest about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh. There were 15 teams from the Youth Union of the faculties, the Trade Union of the faculties and affiliated units participating in the contest.

There were 15 teams from the Youth Union of the faculties, the Trade Union of the faculties and affiliated units participating in the contest.
Each team participates in two main competitions: one is the storytelling competition about Ho Chi Minh's moral example with illustrative forms such as singing, dancing, animation..., thereby expressing the feelings and perceptions of the storyteller and relating them to current life; the other is the Eloquence competition based on the topic given by the Jury.
With many rich forms of expression, the teams' performances highlighted the true and vivid moral example of Ho Chi Minh in many aspects: Ho Chi Minh's morality is the morality of a great intellect, great man, great courage, but extremely simple, close to the people, sacrificing his whole life for the cause of national liberation, class liberation; Ho Chi Minh's morality - the morality of will, determination and ardent patriotism; Ho Chi Minh's morality - the morality of a person who absolutely trusts and respects the people; Ho Chi Minh's morality - benevolence, altruism, for the people; Ho Chi Minh's morality is the morality of diligence, thrift, integrity, uprightness, impartiality, simple and pure lifestyle...
At the end of the competition, the first prize went to the Oriental Studies team, the second prize went to the Journalism team, and the third prize went to the Management Science team. There were five consolation prizes for the following teams: Psychology, Literature, Linguistics, Tourism Studies, and the joint team of Political Science - Physical Education - Foreign Languages.
The contest is an activity to propagate and educate cadres, party members and students to study, cultivate and practice following Uncle Ho's example, especially to encourage and motivate the younger generation to relate and apply those moral lessons in work and daily life.
