On the morning of June 28, 2012, the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a ceremony to commend and reward students who are children of the university's staff and faculty members and achieved the title of excellent student in the 2011-2012 academic year.Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang – President of the University's Trade Union, members of the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, and Women's Committee of the University's Trade Union, Executive Committees of departmental trade unions, and a large number of students with outstanding achievements in the 2011-2012 academic year. This is a regular annual activity of the Trade Union to commend, reward, and encourage the learning spirit of the children of staff and employees, thereby motivating staff and employees to be both active in their work and attentive to raising their children well and teaching them good values.
In the 2011-2012 academic year's gifted student competitions, 11 students won awards, including 9 who were both all-around excellent students and winners of district-level awards; 1 who was both all-around excellent student and winner of city-level awards; and 1 who was both all-around excellent student and winner of national awards. Many students were awarded the title "Master of Thang Long - Good Children of Uncle Ho" and were honored as advanced children. In total, 148 students achieved the title of all-around excellent student, including 85 primary school students, 40 junior high school students, and 22 high school students. On behalf of the school leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Principal - warmly commended the achievements of the students during the academic year.
