Faculty of Philosophy introduces new Board of Directors for the 2015-2020 term

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School delivered a congratulatory speech to the new Board of Directors.

Attending the program were representatives of agencies, research institutes, and universities that are long-term partners of the Faculty of Philosophy such as: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Chuan - Former Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Dang Sinh - Head of the Faculty of Philosophy; Hanoi National University of Education; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities... In addition, the ceremony was also attended by leaders of functional departments, faculties, centers, research institutes, affiliated departments and socio-political organizations of the school, retired and working teachers at the faculty, postgraduate students and Philosophy students.

At the beginning of the ceremony, MSc. Hoang Van Quynh - Deputy Head of the Organization and Personnel Department announced the decision to appoint the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy for the 2015 - 2020 term. Accordingly, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan was appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy. The two newly appointed Vice Deans are Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung and Dr. Pham Hoang Giang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim sent his congratulations to the new board of directors of the Faculty of Philosophy. The Associate Professor also expressed his confidence and hope in the new board of directors in the coming term.

Responding to these hopes, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan shared: “The new Faculty Board promises to uphold the spirit of ethics in work, disciplined lifestyle, spirit of solidarity and dedication, improve professional capacity and management methods. Despite many difficulties and hardships, the Faculty Board will strive to complete well the work assigned by the University, worthy of the trust of the Faculty, the University and the lecturers and students in the Faculty”.

Speaking to congratulate the new Board of Directors, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thuy Van (former Head of the Faculty of Philosophy for the 2010-2015 term) emotionally shared: “On behalf of the old Board of Directors, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the teachers in the Faculty of Philosophy. The past year has been very difficult. The mountains of work that just thinking about them makes me shudder. However, it is the unity, the solidarity, especially the understanding and dedication of the teachers and students who have accompanied us during the most difficult times. Thanks to that, our Faculty of Philosophy has no difficulty that cannot be overcome, no challenge that cannot be endured.”

Also in this ceremony, the Faculty of Philosophy simultaneously held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2015 - 2016. This year, the Faculty of Philosophy welcomed 83 students of the K60 course, including 60 students of the standard program and 23 students of the High Quality program.

At the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim awarded Tran Duc Thao scholarships to students who won school-level scientific research awards last school year. Next, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung awarded the principal’s certificates of merit to students who achieved high academic and training achievements in the 2014-2015 school year.
