On the morning of July 26, 2010, a delegation of university officials, led by Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang – Chairman of the University's Trade Union – visited and presented gifts to the Center for the Care and Rehabilitation of War Invalids and Martyrs in Thai Binh province on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2010).
On the morning of July 26, 2010, a delegation of university officials, led by Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang – Chairman of the University's Trade Union – visited and presented gifts to the Center for the Care and Rehabilitation of War Invalids and Martyrs in Thai Binh province on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2010).The Thai Binh Provincial Center for the Care and Rehabilitation of War Veterans was established in 1970, with the task of managing, caring for, and treating war invalids and sick soldiers, especially those with severe injuries. Director Bui Dinh Tu said that the center is currently caring for 29 war invalids and sick soldiers, including 19 with particularly serious injuries, and 15 who require wheelchairs. At its peak, the Center cared for and treated 3,346 war invalids and sick soldiers. On behalf of the delegation, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang presented 5,000,000 VND along with more than 100 books and stories (donated from units within the University) and a box of candies and snacks to the war invalids and sick soldiers. During this meeting, the delegation also had a touching exchange with the war invalids and sick soldiers. On behalf of the Center, Director Bui Dinh Tu expressed his gratitude to the University's leadership and all staff and faculty members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Visiting and presenting gifts to centers for severely wounded soldiers on the occasion of July 27th is an annual activity of the University's trade union, demonstrating the spirit of gratitude towards those who bravely sacrificed their lives and blood for the cause of liberation and national defense. On the same day, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to several families of martyrs whose relatives are currently working at the University.
