On July 27th, the Student Volunteer Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Tan Lap commune (Moc Chau district, Son La province) carried out practical activities to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs.
On July 27th, the Student Volunteer Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Tan Lap commune (Moc Chau district, Son La province) carried out practical activities to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs.In the morning, the team visited the Martyrs' Memorial in Tan Lap commune to offer incense. Afterwards, the team, along with leaders, various departments and organizations, and families of war invalids and martyrs, attended a rally commemorating War Invalids and Martyrs' Day. On this occasion, the Student Volunteer Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Tan Lap presented 70 gifts to representatives of the Veterans' Association of Tan Lap commune. In the evening, in coordination with the local youth union, the University's Student Volunteer Team organized a cultural exchange night titled "A Candle of Gratitude" between the team and the youth unions of the villages and sub-districts of Tan Lap commune. Through songs praising the Party and the Fatherland by the University's Student Volunteer Team, and graceful traditional dances of the Thai and Mong people, the cultural exchange night not only served as a bridge to strengthen solidarity among participants but also as a profound expression of gratitude to the families of war invalids and martyrs in general and the heroic martyrs in particular. Also on the morning of July 27th, Comrade Trinh Minh Thai - Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - visited and worked with the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Tan Lap commune. There, Comrade Trinh Minh Thai presented a gift from the University: a computer and two boxes of books and newspapers to the representatives of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Tan Lap commune. In the afternoon of the same day, the Secretary of the Youth Union visited and encouraged the University's volunteer students at families in Hoa village. To date, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' volunteer student team has participated in labor in 7 villages, 2 health stations and schools; assisted 13 policy beneficiary households; dug and installed over 200 meters of clean water pipes; conducted reproductive health education in 4 villages; and continued to participate in teaching and summer activities every afternoon for over 100 primary school students.
