After a week of deployment, despite unfavorable weather and initial conditions, the Student Volunteer Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has consistently demonstrated its youthful energy and volunteer spirit.Due to some issues arising from the Tan Lap Commune Youth Union (Moc Chau - Son La), the team's initial plan had to be changed. Overcoming the initial difficulties, the team quickly developed a new plan. On July 17th, the entire team began their activities, primarily cleaning up village roads in Hoa I and Hoa II hamlets, clearing over 500 meters of drainage ditches, and cleaning and clearing the roads and alleys. In the afternoon, after a day of mobilizing families, over 100 elementary school students and a large number of villagers from the two hamlets attended the opening ceremony of the summer classes and recreational activities organized by the University's volunteer team. Despite the rain and the fact that many remote hamlets could not attend, the cultural exchange night between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' Student Volunteer Team and the local community was still held with great enthusiasm and warmth at the cultural centers of Hoa I and Hoa II hamlets. During the cultural exchange event, the local delegation and villagers surprised the Youth Volunteer Team with unique and traditional Thai cultural performances. With songs, dances, and fun games, the team's performers made the evening even more engaging and captivating. On the 18th and 19th, due to rain, outdoor activities had to be postponed, but the team's summer class continued as usual, and the children attended in large numbers. Notably, the volunteers in the outreach group braved the rain and long distances to visit families in the villages of Dọi and Nậm Tôm to disseminate information on reproductive health and the law. During their free time, the volunteers actively assisted families with some farming tasks… These actions strengthened the bond between the Youth Volunteer Team and the families and villagers. On July 20th, the School's Student Volunteer Team traveled 6km through mountainous terrain to reach Sub-district 13 and Na Tan village. In the morning, the team participated in a village cleanup with local youth, visited and presented gifts to four disadvantaged families in Na Tan village, and helped several families in Sub-district 13 harvest tea. In the afternoon, in coordination with the local delegation, the team organized a cultural exchange event to introduce and increase the understanding of the School's Student Volunteer Team among the local people. On this occasion, Comrade Nguyen Duy Tu (Team Leader) presented two gifts to the leaders of Sub-district 13 and Na Tan village on behalf of the entire team. The Student Volunteer Team's activities will continue in the coming days in Ban Hoa and other villages in Tan Lap commune, especially in preparation for the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th.
