On August 19th, a delegation from the North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk, Russia, led by Professor Irina PoDoYnijNa from the Faculty of Sociology, visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. On behalf of the university leadership, Associate Professor Vu Duc Nghieu received and held discussions with the delegation. The main focus of the meeting was on scientific research: policies for the development of ethnic minorities, the preservation and promotion of cultural values in ethnic minority regions, and research in the field of sociology in Vietnam.

The Vice Rector and Associate Professor Iwatsuki Junichi discussed future student exchange cooperation programs with the University of Tokyo. Over the past 15 years, 11 students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies and other faculties of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have studied at Tokyo National University. Additionally, 5 Japanese students have studied at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In the near future, the two sides will continue to sign a new cooperation agreement on short-term student exchange programs.
