Summary of trade union activities for the 2010-2011 school year
The conference summarizing the trade union's work for the 2010-2011 academic year was held on August 25th. The conference aimed to evaluate and summarize the trade union's work for the 2010-2011 academic year, set directions for the 2011-2012 academic year, and discuss and approve the draft regulations on workplace culture (third version).The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao - Member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and representatives of the Trade Unions of various units... On behalf of the Executive Committee of the University's Trade Union, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - President of the University's Trade Union - presented a report summarizing the trade union's work in the 2010-2011 academic year. The report clearly stated that in the past academic year, the trade union had successfully carried out many practical activities: protecting the legitimate rights and interests and caring for the lives of teachers and workers in the industry; building harmonious and stable labor relations; creating motivation to improve the quality and effectiveness of education and training, serving the industrialization and modernization of the country; building professional ethics and professional skills of the teaching staff and education management staff, in order to fulfill the task of: Innovating, developing and improving the quality of education and training in the industry; Mobilize teachers and workers in the sector to actively participate in emulation movements and large-scale social campaigns, in order to effectively implement the sector's political tasks; innovate organization, strengthen inspection work, and improve the quality of the staff...

In addition, the report also outlined the specific directions for trade union work in the 2011-2012 academic year as follows: Firstly, the Trade Union will continue to direct its members to best implement the resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels; and to best carry out the campaigns: studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, and the campaigns of the Education Sector and the Vietnam Education Trade Union. Secondly, it will further improve political and ideological work in the context of complex international developments, continued difficulties in the domestic economy, and the fact that the living standards of staff and employees have not improved significantly, especially for young staff. Thirdly, it will coordinate with the administration to effectively implement the University's new action programs: building a qualified staff, continuing to expand international standard training programs, creating high-quality scientific research products, and innovating university management. Fourth, continue to do a good job of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of staff and employees, caring for their lives, and creating motivation to improve the quality and effectiveness of education and training, serving the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country. Fifth, continue to promote the humanitarian tradition and further strengthen social work in the spirit of mutual support and national solidarity. Following this, the conference discussed in depth the third draft of the School's Workplace Culture Regulations. Many opinions were expressed, contributing to further improving the content of the regulations. During the past academic year, the School's Trade Union, as well as the trade unions of the units, performed their functions and duties well, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the School's academic year objectives. For these contributions, many collectives and individuals have been commended and awarded certificates of merit by trade union leaders at all levels: - 01 certificate of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the University's Trade Union - 02 certificates of merit for collectives and 02 certificates of merit for individuals from the Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union - 06 certificates of merit for collectives and 25 certificates of merit for individuals from the Chairman of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union - 04 certificates of merit for collectives and 35 certificates of merit for individuals from the Executive Committee of the University's Trade Union.
