On the evening of August 4th, 2011, nearly 170 student volunteers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities gathered at the People's Committee of Hien Ninh commune (Soc Son district, Hanoi) to attend the closing ceremony of their summer volunteer program in the district. The ceremony was solemn, warm, and lively.Attending the closing ceremony were Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu – Secretary of the Hanoi City Youth Union, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – Vice Rector of the University, Comrade Trinh Minh Thai – Secretary of the University Youth Union, and a large number of people and Youth Union officials from Hien Ninh commune, Soc Son district, and Hanoi City Youth Union.
The ceremony acknowledged the achievements of student volunteers in Soc Son district in general and students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular. During the program, the University's Youth Union also presented many gifts to disadvantaged families and underprivileged students in the district. A highlight of the closing ceremony was the vibrant cultural performances by students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Hien Ninh commune hall was lively with the "Jai Ho" dance, rhythmic with "Trong Com," full of enthusiasm with the song "Green Summer," and gentle and refined with the dance "Midday Dream." All performances carried the fire of youth, dynamism, and passion. The closing ceremony lasted just over two hours, but those in attendance were filled with the burning passion of youth. The ceremony marked the end of a memorable summer of volunteering for the students.
