Program "Vietnam's Intangible Cultural Heritage Media Promotion Festival"

The program was not only a meaningful spiritual gift presented to the teachers of the School on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, 2011, but also opened up a cultural and artistic space for thousands of social science and humanities students to enjoy and appreciate the value of the intangible cultural heritage of the Vietnamese nation. The program brought together all the art forms of the Northern Delta region such as: Quan Ho Co - Lang Diem; Ca Tru Thai Ha; Quan Ho - Bac Ninh; Hat Xam; Chau Van... In particular, the program featured leading Vietnamese artists: Hat Xam: Meritorious Artist Thanh Ngoan; Ca Tru: Thai Ha Group; Quan Ho: Meritorious Artists Thuy Huong and Thuy Cai; Chau Van: Meritorious Artist Thuy Mui; Traditional Vietnamese opera (Cheo): Meritorious Artist Khac Tu... Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Thai - the artistic director of the program - said: “Having dedicated much effort to this festival, I hope to give students, teachers, and journalists a wonderful opportunity to understand the value and role of intangible cultural heritage in preserving and promoting the essence of the nation in today's modern media environment. They must understand before they can love it. And once they love it, they will be the ones to preserve, develop, and make the public understand and love the invaluable values of intangible cultural heritage, the essence of the Vietnamese nation. In short, authentic and genuine art is very worthy of our communication.” Because of the good purposes and meanings the festival is for students, teachers, media organizations, and society, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Pico Supermarket System and many other organizations and individuals have participated in sponsoring and supporting the program to achieve the desired results.
