On November 16th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – along with representatives from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, International Studies, and Psychology, met and worked with representatives from Auckland University of Technology – New Zealand: Professor Nigel Hemmington - Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs and Head of the Faculty of Applied Humanities, and Professor Christopher Hawley - Director of the Office for Development and International Relations.
On November 16th, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – Rector of the University – along with representatives from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, International Studies, and Psychology, met and worked with representatives from Auckland University of Technology – New Zealand: Professor Nigel Hemmington - Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs and Head of the Faculty of Applied Humanities, and Professor Christopher Hawley - Director of the Office for Development and International Relations.During the meeting, the leaders of the two universities exchanged views on several areas of mutual interest and expressed their desire to establish cooperation in the future: improving English proficiency for teaching staff; implementing joint research projects, organizing international seminars and conferences; supporting the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in developing and expanding its public policy program; and collaborating on the development of a bachelor's degree program in International Tourism Management. Both leaders expressed hope that in the near future, the two universities would sign an agreement to realize these cooperation programs. Auckland University of Technology – New Zealand is one of eight universities in New Zealand and also one of the fastest-growing. The total number of students currently enrolled is approximately 25,000, including over 4,000 international students. Auckland University of Technology offers a diverse range of programs, from foundation courses to doctoral degrees, and currently has five separate faculties: the Faculty of Applied Humanities, which includes the following fields: Languages, Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Education.
