On the evening of April 23, 2011, the "Managers and Intellectual Property" competition was held at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center with the participation of 4 teams from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the National Economics University, the University of Commerce, and the Academy of Finance.The competition was jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Intellectual Property Office on World Intellectual Property Day, April 26, 2011. This activity aimed to encourage students to learn about and enhance their understanding of intellectual property – a crucial element in the knowledge-based economy and integration; and provided an opportunity for "future managers" to interact and learn in a vibrant environment. Attending and presenting awards to the winning teams were Mr. Ta Quang Minh (Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Office), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), and representatives from the sponsors. The competition consisted of five parts: Greetings, General Knowledge of Intellectual Property, Understanding of Businesses, Understanding of Sponsors, and Situation Handling. In addition, there was a competition for the audience with attractive prizes.

The contestants were students not majoring in Intellectual Property. To participate in the competition, they underwent six training sessions on Intellectual Property organized by the Young Managers Club (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) under the guidance of Dr. Tran Van Hai (Head of the Faculty of Management Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Mr. Nguyen Van Bay (Director of the Intellectual Property Consulting and Training Center). As a result, the YMC team (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and FMC team (Academy of Finance) both won third prize; the Big V team (National Economics University) won second prize. And first prize went to the FBA team (University of Commerce).
