On the morning of July 19th, a team of volunteer students from the History Department joined the children of Tan Dan commune (Soc Son district, Hanoi) to renovate the commune's martyrs' cemetery in preparation for the upcoming July 27th commemoration.
On the morning of July 19th, a team of volunteer students from the History Department joined the children of Tan Dan commune (Soc Son district, Hanoi) to renovate the commune's martyrs' cemetery in preparation for the upcoming July 27th commemoration.The team's main activities included mowing grass, cleaning the gravestones of fallen soldiers, and whitewashing the walls of the cemetery. All 36 members of the team participated in the work session. Mr. Duong Van Thinh (the cemetery caretaker) emotionally expressed: "Thank you, students, for coming to help clean the cemetery. Having such enthusiastic humanities students visit the graves of our fallen soldiers makes us feel at peace." This was the team's fifth day of work; on July 20th, they will have another work session in An Trung village.
