On March 28, during his visit to Vietnam, the Minister of Science of Bavaria (Germany), Dr. Wolfgang Heubish, took the time to visit and work with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Accompanying the Minister were representatives of more than 10 universities from Bavaria.On behalf of the University, Vice President Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Quang Minh warmly welcomed and thanked the Minister and distinguished guests from Germany and introduced to the Minister the tradition, development and achievements of international cooperation of the University. Vice President Pham Quang Minh emphasized that cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany has an important position and role in training and scientific research. Also attending the reception were the University's staff who have studied and researched in Germany, as well as a number of German teachers and students who are studying and researching at the University. Over the years, the University has signed cooperation agreements with many German universities such as Humboldt University, Passau University, Greifswald University, Munich University of Applied Sciences, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Goerg August Goettingen University... German Funds have also effectively supported many programs of the University such as Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (RLS), Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation (FES) and many other organizations. Minister Heubish expressed his pleasure to visit the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, learn about the potential and strengths of the University and especially meet with the University's staff who have studied and worked in Germany. The Minister said that this was the second time he visited Vietnam but had a very good impression of this country and wished to further strengthen the scientific-educational relationship between the two countries. Specific evidence is that the Minister was accompanied by the Rector and Vice-Rector of more than 10 universities in the state of Bavaria. Representatives of the universities took turns introducing their strengths and expressing their desire to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Notably, among them, Prof. Freitag, Rector of Passau University, one of the traditional partners, has trained many staff for the University and is also one of the few universities in Germany that offers Vietnamese language training. The following meeting took place in a lively and friendly atmosphere when former students who had studied and researched in Germany took turns introducing themselves and their years of studying in Germany.
