HYLI is a program that recognizes the leadership and social responsibility of talented students from leading universities in Asia, helping Asia discover future leaders. Under this program, each country selects four outstanding students from representative universities to participate in the forum. The forum is a place where international students meet and discuss common regional and global issues. They also have the opportunity to share their views with speakers who are leaders from Asian countries representing governments, economic sectors and academia. The six countries participating in this forum for the first time are Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The resounding success of the program has encouraged Hitachi to continue pursuing this program and expanding the scope of the organization.
