In accordance with Official Letter No. 827/ĐHQGHN-KHCN dated March 20, 2013, from the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, regarding the development of the science and technology (S&T) plan and budget for 2014, the University requests that all units summarize their S&T activities for the 2012-2013 academic year and propose S&T tasks for the 2014 fiscal year with the following specific contents.
1. Summary of science and technology activities in the 2012-2013 academic year
1.1. Assessing the implementation of mechanisms and policies on science and technology.
1.2. Assessing the progress of science and technology tasks- Evaluating publication performance through indicators such as: the number of research papers published in domestic and international journals; the number of monographs. - Evaluating the results of organizing scientific conferences and seminars. - Evaluating the results of participation in implementing key national-level science and technology programs, independent national-level science and technology tasks, collaborative research tasks under protocols, VNU-level projects, institutional-level projects, and other projects. - Evaluating the results of participation in implementing cooperation programs and projects with ministries/sectors, enterprises, and localities (if any). - Evaluating the results of implementing international cooperation programs and projects. - Evaluating the results of providing scientific services and technology transfer (if any). - Evaluating the results of implementing and managing capacity-building projects (if any). - Evaluating the development of science and technology human resources and the building of strong research groups. - Evaluating the scientific research activities of young staff and students. - Awards in science and technology. - Outstanding results, existing shortcomings, and proposed solutions.
2. Proposed science and technology tasks for the 2014 fiscal year.
Units are requested to propose their 2014 science and technology task plans (in line with the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 academic year plans) with the following contents: - Proposals for Group A and B research topics at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi; proposals for institutional-level research topics. The University will prioritize topics with scientific orientations consistent with the University's science and technology orientation until 2020, serving and contributing to improving the quality of master's theses and doctoral dissertations (registration forms are attached). - Proposals for organizing conferences and other scientific activities of the unit (proposals are attached). The University prioritizes conferences with the participation and financial contribution of other units.

3. Suggest published or unpublished works for publication in English.
Units are requested to propose scientific works for the University to select and publish in English, with an average quota of 1 article per staff member (listed in order of priority from top to bottom), and 1 monograph per unit.
