The Council reviewed the Self-Assessment Report of 4 training programs, and the report of the External Assessment Team for the programs, and at the same time, asked many questions to representatives of the school's leadership as well as leaders of units with accredited programs, then, voted by secret ballot to consider recognition of meeting educational quality standards for 4 programs of Literature, Linguistics, Philosophy and Oriental Studies of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.   Established in 1956, Faculty of Literatureis one of the oldest faculties in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Department of Linguistics was established on the basis of the Linguistics Department of the Faculty of Philology, Hanoi University of Science (1956 - 1996). The Faculty is the first unit in Vietnam to train Linguistics as a separate science. Faculty of Philosophywas established in September 1976 and is the most prestigious and high-quality Philosophy training institution in the country. Philosophy students receive knowledge from basic to advanced in the field of Philosophy, thereby mastering the stance and viewpoints of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, applying and solving practical problems as well as integrating with international Philosophy.
In spite ofFaculty of Oriental Studies was established in 1995, but in fact, the Oriental Studies major has been trained since 1993 in the Faculty of History. Oriental Studies is a major that attracts young people with a diverse and rich knowledge of colorful and dynamic Oriental languages ​​and cultures. According to the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary training orientation, students of Oriental Studies are equipped with comprehensive knowledge including: history, culture, literature, geography, economics, politics - diplomacy, have practical skills in international relations and social communication skills, and can use a specialized foreign language (English, Korean, Chinese, Thai...) in communication and in professional work.
The Council unanimously approved the reports with 100% of votes and recognized the four programs of Literature, Philosophy, Linguistics and Oriental Studies of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, as meeting the quality accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
