VNU-USSH officially accepts the first MOOCs electronic lecture

On December 27, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) made an important mark in digital teaching when it officially accepted and put into use the MOOCs electronic lecture with the Basic Informatics course. This is a strategic step to modernize education, enhance learning experiences and equip students with the necessary knowledge and technology skills in the digital age.
Chaired by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal, Chairman of the Council, and experts, the Acceptance Council evaluated the Lecture as meeting high standards in terms of content, teaching methods, as well as technology and techniques. The head of the compilation team, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Van Hung, represented the team to report the results to the council.

Innovation in content and form of communication
The MOOCs electronic lectures on Applied Informatics are designed with 11 lecture modules, focusing on advanced, updated and practical topics, including:
Lesson 1. Basics of information technology
Lesson 2. Digital transformation and data mining
Lesson 3. Overview of artificial intelligence
Lesson 4. Applying artificial intelligence in content creation
Lesson 5. Internet and Privacy
Lesson 6. Basic text processing
Lesson 7. Advanced text processing
Lesson 8. Basic spreadsheet processing
Lesson 9. Advanced Spreadsheet Processing
Lesson 10. Using basic presentations
Lesson 11. Using advanced presentations
The lectures are built on a modern technology platform, integrating multimedia elements such as sharp videos, vivid sounds and easy-to-use interactions. With a total of nearly 30 video clips, each lesson is divided into compact sections to help students absorb easily. Accompanying learning materials include 5 sets of multiple choice questions and 6 sets of practice exercises, helping students consolidate knowledge and develop application skills.
Pedagogically, the lecture ensures a comprehensive teaching process from problem posing to knowledge assessment, encouraging students to actively explore and solve problems.
The lecture content not only ensures accuracy and conformity with academic criteria but also strictly complies with Party and State regulations. References are cited clearly and transparently.
The lectures have been packaged according to SCORM standards, ensuring smooth operation on learning management systems (LMS) and high compatibility with the internet, contributing to improving sustainability in the implementation of digital and personalized training.
