On November 19th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate and congratulate Vietnamese Teachers' Day. Attending the event were veteran teachers, former and current leaders of the University, faculty, staff, and students.On behalf of the school's leadership, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - the Rector - extended congratulations and gratitude to the generations of veteran teachers and school leaders throughout the years. Speaking at the ceremony, the Rector reviewed the outstanding achievements that the school's staff, lecturers, students, and trainees had strived to achieve in the past academic year across all activities: the first cohort of students trained under the credit system graduated in the 2010-2011 academic year; dozens of scientific research projects were completed; 25 scientific seminars were organized, including 16 international seminars; the number of foreign students studying at the school is increasing with over 800 students; and international cooperation has been expanded with more than 120 international partners…

The Rector emphasized that, building on the traditions of the 2011-2012 academic year, the faculty, students, and trainees of the University will continue to perform their duties well, transform training programs, strengthen scientific research, expand international cooperation, innovate university governance, and build and develop the University to an international standard. Professor Vu Duong Ninh - Chairman of the University's Alumni Association - expressed his joy and pride in the University's achievements and shared memories of the arduous and challenging times that previous generations of teachers went through, yet always fulfilled their duties of teaching and learning well. Professor Ninh believes that today's faculty will be the pioneering and core force in integrating the country's social sciences and humanities into the international arena. He also placed his faith in the willpower, aspirations, and proactive spirit of the students, trainees, and researchers, who will be a new, young, and creative scientific force, continuing the scientific legacy of the previous generation.

Representatives of the faculty and students of the University expressed their gratitude and admiration for the contributions of previous generations to the building and development of the University. Faculty, students, and trainees will continue to uphold the tradition, learn from the selfless dedication of previous generations of teachers, and strive to fulfill the University's strategic mission. At the ceremony, the University also congratulated two educators who achieved the Associate Professor title in 2011: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Faculty of International Studies and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Lan - Faculty of Philosophy.
