The Dạ Lan Canh event is organized to bring the traditional art form of "hat canh" singing – the oldest style of Quan Ho singing – closer to the younger generation, thereby arousing love and national pride in the world cultural heritage of "Quan Ho," contributing to the preservation and promotion of the Quan Ho heritage.
The space at Dạ Lan Canh recreated an ancient cultural and artistic atmosphere, offering audiences new experiences and emotions. The performance of "Offering Water - Offering Betel" by Quan Ho folk singers and students from the 48-hour Quan Ho class, along with the traditional betel-making activity – a beautiful cultural tradition of the Kinh Bac region – under the guidance of Sister Hai Nguyen Nhu Chinh, provided the audience with a delightful experience.
Audiences also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique cultural space of "Decoding Ancient Quan Ho Singing" under the guidance of Host Trinh Le Anh and speaker Meritorious Artist Xuan Mui, and enjoy all three stages (traditional singing style, casual singing style, farewell singing style) of an ancient Quan Ho singing session performed by artisans and students of the 48-Hour Quan Ho program.
Audiences of Dạ Lan Canh had the opportunity to experience preparing betel leaves in the shape of a phoenix wing, guided by Sister Hai Nguyên Như Chính.
The Dạ Lan Canh event concluded with a mix of poignant emotions and pride, accompanied by continuous applause from the audience for the art of Quan Ho folk singing. From knowing to understanding, to believing in and being proud, Dạ Lan Canh – the first event to bring Quan Ho folk singing to the younger generation of Hanoi – has spread the beauty of traditional cultural art, contributing to the preservation and safeguarding of this human heritage.
The event also marked the maturity of students from the Faculty of Tourism Studies in organizing cultural and artistic events under the guidance of their teachers.
Previously, tourism students successfully organized many events such as the talk show "Phi Hề Bất Thành Chèo" in collaboration with the Vietnam Cheo Theatre, and the talk show and art performance "Two Generations - One Heart"...
