17 excellent students of VNU-USSH received SHB scholarships for Semester II, academic year 2023-2024.

Attending the scholarship awarding ceremony on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Party Committee Secretary, Rector), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector), MSc. Kim Thi Diep Ha (Head of Planning and Finance Department), Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu (Deputy Head of Politics and Student Affairs Department), and students of the University.
On the partner side, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh (Deputy Director) and representatives of the departments/offices of SHB Bank, West Hanoi branch.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong would like to express her sincere thanks to SHB Bank for accompanying the University in many activities such as: actively and effectively participating in the annual VNU-USSH Job Fair, bringing many attractive job positions to students, and awarding valuable scholarships like today.
Sharing with the students, Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized: “SHB Bank and T&T Group are prestigious enterprises in Vietnam in many fields, making important contributions to the stability and socio-economic development of the country. Not only that, with a noble humanitarian philosophy, the enterprise has actively participated in community service activities, including awarding scholarships to excellent students, encouraging talent development. Therefore, this gift is not only financial support but also encouragement for the school's students to try harder in their studies and lives, so that after graduation they can soon establish themselves, successfully establish their careers and return to support and assist the next generations of students, and spread the meanings and humanistic values ​​of this activity”.

According to the representative of the Student Affairs Department: The 17 students who were awarded scholarships today are 17 excellent representatives who were carefully and objectively selected based on specific criteria. These are not only exemplary students with excellent academic achievements, but also students who have made efforts to overcome difficult circumstances to excel in their studies, have contributed a lot to the general movement of the faculty and school, and actively participated in volunteer work and community service.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Van Anh, representing the leadership of SHB Bank, West Hanoi branch, congratulated 17 outstanding students of the School who received scholarships, and shared: SHB Bank not only operates in the financial sector but also invests in many fields, in which the education sector is of special interest to Chairman Do Quang Hien and the Group's leadership. On behalf of 17 students receiving scholarships, Nguyen Phuong Anh, a third-year student at the Institute of Journalism and Communication, expressed her gratitude and sincere thanks to the SHB Scholarship Fund for awarding these extremely valuable scholarships. This is a great source of encouragement, like a fire lighting up the road ahead, helping the students to be more confident on their journey to conquer knowledge.
“I also send my sincere thanks to the School Board of Directors and teachers in the Faculties/Institutes/Departments, and functional departments for creating favorable conditions and supporting us throughout our studies. Not only stopping at material care but also great spiritual encouragement, helping us to be more confident to go further. More than anyone, we understand that the scholarship we receive today is the affection, effort, and care of SHB and our teachers, so we will always cherish it and promise to try to study well, strive to become useful people for society to be worthy of the support and care of our teachers and SHB” – Phuong Anh shared.

In a friendly, open and intimate atmosphere, the teachers of the School and representatives of SHB Bank shared with the students a lot of useful information about the current recruitment trends of businesses, hoping that during their time studying at university, students would not only accumulate in-depth knowledge about the industry they choose, but also cultivate the necessary soft skills to be able to confidently enter the labor market right after graduation. Students from training units also boldly shared their feelings, thoughts, wishes and future career plans.
