In addition to Youth Union activities, studying and researching, Hai also enjoys participating in volunteer activities. In her free time, she often reads books, watches movies and attends self-development courses.
The young girl chose to live life to the fullest in every moment, because she always believes: "Every day you live in this world, just know how to cherish the people around you, care about what you need to care about, happiness will surely be waiting for you right ahead."
When filling out her university application, Information Management was not Hai’s first choice. However, after spending time at school, she gradually developed deeper thoughts and found the appeal of the field of study.
Understanding more about the field of study, Hai quickly determined the correct and effective learning method. For her, information management is a field of study with a specific curriculum, a clear learning process and especially, has high practicality in today's society. This is a field of study that intersects the fields of information science, information technology, communication and management.
Hai currently has an excellent GPA of 3.7/4.0 and was awarded a certificate of merit as "Student with the highest academic results in the 2021-2022 school year" from the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
She received many semesters of academic encouragement scholarships from the school. She also received some non-budget scholarships such as the Japanese Yamada Scholarship and the BIDV Scholarship.
Becoming a student of Information Management, Hai not only learned more knowledge from books but also gained more practical experience. This helped her become more confident, not afraid to express herself and expand her job search opportunities after graduation.
Advantages and disadvantages of participating in scientific research
Not only is she an outstanding Youth Union official, Hai also impressed by winning high prizes in school-level scientific research competitions for 4 consecutive years. Specifically, she won first prize at the school level in the 2020-2021 and 2022-2023 school years; second prize at the school level in the 2019-2020 and 2021-2022 school years.

When participating in scientific research, Hai often chooses to work with a group of friends. The research topics she often chooses are directly related to the major she is studying. Specifically, the research issues are information, customer information management or digital transformation, etc.
Hai shared his opinion: “Doing scientific research helps us students accumulate some experience such as writing reports, collecting information, developing teamwork and presentation skills… These experiences help improve our professional knowledge and soft skills, making us more confident after graduation.”
Hai and his group of friends received the "Most Favorite Topic WECHOICE" award within the framework of the "Green Torch" Student Scientific Research Award of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
According to Hai, during the process of participating in scientific research, she encountered certain advantages and difficulties.
In terms of advantages, there is the attention and dedicated guidance from the lecturers at the faculty; finding documents is easier thanks to open learning resources in the 4.0 era; many policies support and encourage students to participate in scientific research from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Regarding difficulties, sometimes when choosing a topic, Hai needs to analyze very carefully to be able to choose a topic that has new points and high practicality.
Because we often conduct research in groups, sometimes there are opposing and conflicting opinions. However, after going through this many times, Hai and his friends have more objective perspectives on the research problem.
Going to school, working, and taking on additional positions also disrupted her daily routine a month before the project submission and presentation date.
Nearing the end of four years of university, Hai shared that she is completely satisfied with what she has and is having: a close-knit and happy family, a major with dedicated and thoughtful teachers and friendly friends, a great group of companions, laughing together, crying together, talking together from night to morning.
“Days go, months run, years fly. Time flows and never returns, just like the Russian proverb says, time waits for no one, it passes quickly, never coming back to us.
Youth is for happiness, not for regrets. Always be yourself, always be happy, free and become the version that makes you happiest, my friend,” Hai advised.
