USSH Student Union Vice President has enthusiastic energy for the Union

"The Union helps me discover many of my own abilities"

Le Nguyen Cam Ly is a second-year student majoring in Journalism, Institute of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. She is currently Vice President of the School's Student Union and Deputy Secretary, President of the Youth Union - Association of the Institute of Journalism and Communication. As a Youth Union - Association officer, Cam Ly has organized and participated in many meaningful activities for the social community. Each journey has brought back memorable experiences, Ly shared: "The Youth Union - Association activities have given me experience and knowledge. I have the opportunity to try my hand at many fields of work, discovering many new abilities of myself. Currently, I am in charge of the Association Affairs field, a field that I previously thought I would not be suitable for. However, when taking on this job, everything went quite well, I also trained myself to be meticulous and patient."

 

When participating in Youth Union - Association activities, Cam Ly had the opportunity to interact and expand relationships with people around her. The young person has found many friends with the same aspirations and ideals in life. In nearly 2 years of studying and training at USSH, Cam Ly has achieved many outstanding achievements such as: Certificate of Merit for Students with the highest academic results at the school level in the 2021 - 2022 school year; Second prize for scientific research at the Institute level for the 2022 - 2023 school year; Third prize for scientific research at the School level for the 2022 - 2023 school year; Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi City for "Having outstanding achievements in implementing the "5 Good Students" movement in the period 2018 - 2023"; achieved the title of "5 Good Students" at the School level for the 2021 - 2022 school year; achieved the title of "5 Good Students" at VNU-Hanoi in the 2021-2022 school year; achieved the title of "5 Good Students" at the City level in the 2021-2022 school year; rewarded individuals with many achievements in the Association work and Student movement in the 2021-2022 school year of the students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; certificate of merit from the Institute of Training and Information Technology for individuals with positive contributions to the Association work and Student movement of the unit in the 2021-2022 school year; achieved IELTS certificate 7.0;...

Scientific learning method is the key to open the door to achievement.

“As a Youth Union official, I also want to be exemplary in my studies, not just in training activities. I always try to contribute to the development of collective activities, while cultivating and acquiring my own knowledge and skills. For me, studying is always the most important, so I am still trying to arrange my time reasonably so that participating in Youth Union activities does not affect the quality of my studies. Especially during the peak of the exam period, I will temporarily put aside some tasks to focus completely on studying for the exam,” Cam Ly said.

In addition to effective time management, Cam Ly also has her own learning method. She confided: “In addition to the time spent listening to lectures in class, I will go home and re-study all the sections from the beginning to grasp the knowledge. I often set different goals in each stage. During the implementation process, if I feel that I can achieve more, I will also try harder, but I never let myself be too obsessed or stressed about achieving it. I always try my best so that when I look back in the future, I will not have any regrets. I myself want to outline everything clearly, have an orderly life, and continuously learn.” It is known that she is striving to join the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam. This is also Ly's biggest wish during her student years.

Live your youth to the fullest and have the desire to succeed

In the journey of human life, youth is the most beautiful and brilliant period of youth. Cam Ly is also one of the young people with ambitions and aspirations to contribute to life. She confided: “For me, because I am young, my goals and life purposes will change constantly over time, but I hope that we all know how to exploit and take advantage of our own values, not missing a single rare moment of this short youth to help ourselves and everyone. Let's form a love for the Fatherland, a passion for the goals we choose. That is the spiritual strength to overcome difficulties and challenges, and then prepare our knowledge and skills. Because only with those things can we contribute and have success. Develop all our abilities, work with passion, responsibility, intelligence, and youthfulness to overcome all difficulties and rise up to assert ourselves. Choose to sacrifice personal interests, participate in activities for the community, choose a good life and choose an ideal life with a noble goal."
