Youth Union and Student Association activities and movements have opened up many opportunities for male students.To Trung Hieu was born into a family of factory workers. He is always proud that his grandmother participated in the youth volunteer movement during the war against the US and received the Second Class Labor Medal. She is a shining example for him to learn from and emulate. Currently, Trung Hieu holds the position of Standing Committee Member of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Sociology Study and Research Club; and former Secretary of the Sociology Faculty's Youth Union Branch. Throughout his years at university, the young man has always been active and pioneering in Youth Union and student association activities. Trung Hieu shared: “Youth Union and student association activities have given me so much that I can't even list it all. If I were to talk about the biggest thing, it would be ‘opportunity’ – the opportunity to interact, the opportunity to learn, the opportunity to experience, and the opportunity to work. These opportunities have helped me improve myself, my skills, and my life experience.”

The admirable achievements of this energetic and enthusiastic student.With a scientific learning method and effective time management, Trung Hieu has achieved many outstanding accomplishments, including: First prize in the Faculty-level scientific research competition in the 2022-2023 academic year; the award for the "Best Practical Application Value" project at the Green Torch Student Scientific Research Conference in 2022-2023; Second prize in the university-level student scientific research competition in the 2022-2023 academic year; a commendation from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi City for achievements in youth union work and youth movements in the 2021-2022 academic year; a commendation from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi City for outstanding achievements in implementing the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign; and being recognized as an outstanding young person at the grassroots level in 2022. Received a certificate of commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bat Xat District for outstanding achievements in the 2022 Lao Cai Winter Warmth Campaign; a certificate of commendation for outstanding achievements in the 2022 Lao Cai Winter Warmth Campaign; a certificate of First Prize in the "Outstanding Youth Union and Student Association Cadre" competition in 2022 organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi National University; a certificate of commendation from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Trung Ward for achievements in participating in the mural painting activity to celebrate the 31st Seagame in 2022; a certificate of commendation from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Student Association of the University for positive contributions to the Association's work and student movements in the 2021-2022 and 2020-2021 academic years. A male student from VNU-USSH shared his experience in allocating time effectively between studying and participating in activities and movements: “I think there’s no single solution that works for everyone because each person has a different lifestyle and way of living. It took me about two years to find a solution, and now I think I’ve overcome some of my difficulties. For myself, I prioritize important tasks. Dividing tasks by importance helps us identify what needs to be done, and I’ve achieved results during my four years of university. I’ve strived to participate in and take on various roles in student union activities. In particular, I participated in student scientific research and won some lovely awards. Besides that, I’m especially interested in volunteer programs, because helping others makes me extremely happy and fulfilled.”
