Sociology Student: “An optimist will see opportunity in difficulty”

To Trung Hieu is a 4th year student of the Faculty of Sociology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Activities and movements of the Youth Union - Association have brought the young man many invaluable opportunities and experiences. With the dynamism and enthusiasm of youth, the male student has achieved admirable achievements.

Activities and movements of the Youth Union have opened up many opportunities for male students.
To Trung Hieu was born into a family with working parents. The male student is always proud that his grandmother participated in the youth volunteer movement to fight against the US to save the country and received the Second Class Labor Medal. She is a shining example for Hieu to learn and follow. Currently, Trung Hieu is holding the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Study and Research Club of the Faculty of Sociology and former Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Sociology. During his years of studying at the school, the young man was always active and pioneering in the activities and movements of the Youth Union - Association. Trung Hieu confided: “The activities and movements of the Youth Union have given me so many things that I cannot even tell you all. If I talk about the biggest thing, it is “opportunity”, the opportunity to exchange, the opportunity to be known, the opportunity to experience and the opportunity to work. It is those opportunities that have helped me improve myself, my skills and my life experiences”.

The young man is always active and a pioneer in Youth Union and Association activities and movements.

Admirable achievements of an energetic and enthusiastic student
With a scientific learning method and reasonable time arrangement, Trung Hieu has achieved many outstanding achievements such as: Winning the first prize in scientific research at the Faculty level in the 2022-2023 school year; winning the prize for the topic "Best practical application value" in the Green Torch Student Scientific Research Conference in 2022-2023; winning the second prize in student scientific research at the school level in the 2022-2023 school year; receiving a certificate of merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi City for his achievements in the work of the Union and youth movements in the 2021-2022 school year; receiving a certificate of merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi City for his outstanding achievements in implementing the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in 2022; typical young face at the grassroots level in 2022; received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bat Xat District for outstanding achievements in the Lao Cai Warm Winter Campaign in 2022; a certificate of merit for outstanding achievements in the Lao Cai Warm Winter Campaign in 2022; a certificate of merit for First Prize in the "Outstanding Union - Association Cadre" contest in 2022 organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi National University; a certificate of merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Trung Ward for achievements in participating in welcoming the mural painting activity to welcome the 31st Seagame in 2022; a certificate of merit from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the School's Student Association for active contributions to the Association's work and student movements in the 2021 - 2022 school year & the 2020 - 2021 school year; Certificate of Merit from the School Youth Union for active contributions to the Youth Union and youth movement in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years; achieving the title of 5 Good Students at the school level in the 2021-2022 school year; Certificate of Merit from the School Student Association for many contributions in the 2022 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign...

To Trung Hieu achieved many outstanding achievements in studying and training.

The VNU-USSH male student shared about the reasonable division of time between studying and participating in activities and movements: “I think there is no effective solution for everyone because each person has a different lifestyle or lifestyle. It took me about 2 years to find a solution, and now I think my difficulties have been overcome. For myself, I will prioritize arranging important tasks that need to be solved first. Dividing the level of importance of the work will help us determine what needs to be done and I have achieved results in 4 years of university. I have tried and strived to participate and take on positions in the Youth Union - Association. In particular, I have participated in student scientific research and "pocketed some pretty prizes" for myself. Besides, I pay special attention to volunteer programs, because when I help others, I am extremely happy and joyful".

The enthusiastic young man of VNU-USSH always carries an optimistic spirit in life, he always believes: "Optimistic people will see opportunities in difficulties. In today's era, young people always have certain invisible pressures, instead of looking at that pressure, we should have optimistic thoughts, turning pressure into opportunities to change ourselves".
