Public Relations students impress with admirable academic achievements

Phung Thi Quynh Trang, born in 2004, is a Dao ethnic female student with impressive academic achievements. She always strives on her journey to conquer knowledge to assert herself and contribute to her homeland. She is currently a first-year student majoring in Public Relations at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).
Born and raised in Yen Bai, a mountainous province in the Northwest, Trang's family circumstances were difficult, both parents were over 50 years old, so she had to go through many difficulties and deprivation. Not giving up in the face of circumstances, she always reminded herself to try hard, to study well to be able to help her family, to overcome all difficulties. Quynh Trang has a commendable studious spirit because the school is very far from home, the mountain road is bumpy and dangerous, making travel extremely difficult, many of her peers dropped out of school to stay home and work on the fields, but for Quynh Trang, a determined girl who always longed to go to school, she overcame many difficulties, temporarily leaving her family to go to boarding school to study.
Quynh Trang shared: "I am an ethnic minority student living in a remote area with extremely difficult economic conditions. My family is not well off. My parents are both over 50 years old. My parents did not support my studies. I also intended to drop out of school, but in the end I still chose to go to school." With a love of learning and tireless efforts, for many years, the VNU-USSH student has received awards from the school for her excellent academic achievements.
Quynh Trang has an impressive academic record with 12 years of being an excellent student, winning the Third Prize in the Literature Competition for 10th graders, Second Prize in the Literature Competition for 11th graders, and Second Prize in the Literature Competition for 12th graders (skipping level) while in 11th graders and in 12th graders, she excellently won the First Prize in the Literature Competition for 12th graders.
Quynh Trang was also honored to participate in the National Excellent Student Exam in Literature for grade 12. In the 2022 High School Exam, Quynh Trang achieved an impressive score of 30.5 points in block C00 (including priority points) and passed the Public Relations major of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Entering the university gate is the dream of many children in the highlands and Quynh Trang is no exception. Therefore, she always tries to nurture her dream. Understanding her family's situation and her parents' hardship, Quynh Trang both studies at university and works part-time to pay for living expenses and rent.
Phung Thi Quynh Trang is also one of 142 ethnic minority students and youth with outstanding achievements in the 2021-2022 school year, attending the 2022 Outstanding Ethnic Minority Students and Youth Commendation Ceremony organized by the Ethnic Committee. For Quynh Trang, it is a great honor and a motivation for her on her upcoming study path. In particular, Quynh Trang also impresses with her beautiful appearance. With her simple and sociable personality, she is always loved by teachers and friends, always actively participates in school activities, is modest, and helps friends.
