The meeting involved discussions about future cooperation between USSH and member colleges of Inha University.
In his introduction speech, Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Khanh provided basic information of the University: USSH is a crucial member of Vietnam National University, with 16 faculties, 12 research centers, 01 research institute and 01 museum. Its number of students is nearly 13.000, of whom 30% are graduates. Faculty of Oriental Studies belonging to the University has 6 divisions, including Division of Korean Studies that receives 40 students a year. It also has the Seijong Korean Language Center, specializing in teaching Korean language for Vietnamese with the support of University of Busan (Korea). The Association of Korean Studies in Vietnam, whose main founders include USSH, is located at the University. For the past several years, the enlargement of cooperation between USSH and Korean Embassy, universities, research institutes, funds and social organizations has helped USSH attain considerable achievements in promoting Korean studies, making it a leading institution in Vietnam in this regard.
Prof. Sanghoon Kim also shared a great deal of information about Inha University as a renowned university in Korea, belonging to the top 10 of all 200 Korean universities. Its current number of students is 22,000, including 18,000 undergraduates. Its main programs include Journalism and Speech, Administration and Advertisement and Information. The number of undergraduates and graduates of College of Social Sciences alone is 1,000. It has 26 Professors and 40 lecturers. In addition there are 3 research centers on Multicultural Social Sciences and Electronic Administration.

The leaders of the two sides expressed their will to develop bilateral cooperation and exchanges. To wrap up the meeting, an official memorandum of cooperation between USSH (VNU) and College of Social Sciences (University, Korea) was signed by Prof.Dr Nguyen Van Khanh and Prof. Sanghoon Kim.
