Meta proposed to cooperate with VNU-USSH to promote AI applications in Social Sciences and Humanities

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Department of Development Cooperation, leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Information and Library (the unit directly implementing the project of Improving Digital Competencies for Students in recent years).
The content of the exchange focused on generative AI applications and cooperation plans between both sides in the coming time, including:
- Focus on issues related to Generative AI for staff, lecturers and students, especially from the perspective of social sciences and humanities, specifically ethical aspects, conduct and responsibility, etc.
- Continue to innovate the Introduction to Information Competency module, adding more content on the ability to apply generative AI, thereby designing online courses, allowing to expand the target audience of learners.
- Implement surveys and research to review and upgrade the Digital Competency Framework issued for students, especially focusing on content related to the use and application of generative AI in digital competencies and the impact of AI on other elements of digital capabilities.
- Support the research team in building digital competency assessment tools for students, including digital competency framework, digital competency scale, self-assessment tests as well as digital competency tests. 
- Proposal to establish a Digital Competency Center at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, Hanoi with the functions of research, training and assessment of digital competence.
- Promote community activities and extracurricular activities of students related to digital competencies and AI application capabilities, typically the activities of the Digital Version Humanities Club
- Aiming to organize an international conference on digital capabilities and generative AI by 2025     Mr. Ruici Tio highly appreciated the cooperation project between Meta and VNU-USSH that has been implemented effectively and he expressed confidence in the further cooperation process of the two sides. Meta commits to accompanying VNU-USSH in upcoming projects.
Prof.Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan affirmed his determination to promote and apply generative AI in social sciences and humanities through Meta's proposed collaboration contents. At the same time, VNU USSH is honored to have Meta as a strategic partner in Vietnam.
