Training course for lecturers on Ho Chi Minh Thought

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, opened a training course for lecturers on the subject of Ho Chi Minh Thought (Course 4, 2009).

1. Subject

- Lecturers teaching the subject of Ho Chi Minh Thought at universities, colleges, and vocational and professional high schools in the North.

- University students who have graduated (or will graduate in 2009) in Social Sciences and Humanities.

2. Curriculum

The total duration is 35 credit units, allocated as follows:

- Basic course: 17 credits.

- Supplementary course: 15 credits.

- Extracurricular activities and assessment of learning outcomes: 3 credit units.

3. Training duration

Four months, from April to July 2009.

4. Teaching staff

Professors, associate professors, doctors, and experts researching Ho Chi Minh Thought from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, and other central and Hanoi-based agencies.

5. Learning methods

- Classes are held 4 times a week, on Saturdays and Sundays.

- Study the materials independently following the instructions.

- Develop lesson plans and organize other extracurricular activities (a specific plan will be made when the class begins).

6. Procedures and tuition fees

6.1. Procedures

Students submitting applications for the course include:

- A certified copy of your university diploma;

- A certified copy of your university transcript;

- Official letter from the managing agency authorizing the student to attend the course (if applicable);

- Application form (according toattached sample(this announcement).

Specifically, students who graduated in 2009 need confirmation from their training institution; upon completion of the course, students must submit copies of their university diploma and transcript to be eligible to receive the Certificate.

6.2. Tuition Fees

Tuition fee for the entire course: 2,500,000 VND/student.
