I. Eligibility for participation

Citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam who meet the conditions stipulated in the Regulations on Postgraduate Training issued under Decision No. 15/DT dated February 9, 2004, by the Director of Hanoi National University.

II. Eligibility Requirements

- Must possess a university degree in a field that is relevant or suitable to the major for which they are applying.

- Possess a full-time university degree in a field closely related to the chosen specialization, and have completed supplementary courses to achieve a level equivalent to a university degree in the same field as the chosen specialization.

III. Requirements regarding years of service

- Individuals with a university degree classified as "good" or higher are eligible to take the exam immediately after graduating from a university with a degree in a field directly related to or relevant to the chosen specialization.

- In all other cases, applicants must have at least two years of work experience in a professional field relevant to the major they are applying for (calculated from the date of the university graduation certificate to the date of enrollment).

* For candidates applying for the Science and Technology Management major:

- Regarding qualifications: Candidates must possess a full-time, full-time, or part-time university degree and a certificate of supplementary knowledge in the field of study before submitting their application.

- Regarding work experience and eligibility criteria:

+ Work experience: Candidates must have at least two years of work experience in a field related to their chosen specialization (including those with a university degree with a GPA of "good" or higher).

+ Eligible participants: Leaders and specialists from science and technology management units of administrative agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations.

* For candidates applying for the Tourism Studies major:

- Holds a university degree in tourism.

- Possess a formal degree in tourism economics, tourism geography, or tourism culture; and a certificate of supplementary knowledge in tourism studies.

- Possess a regular university degree in another field but have at least 3 years of continuous work experience in the tourism sector; have a certificate of supplementary knowledge in tourism studies.

* For candidates applying for the Political Science and Ho Chi Minh Studies majorsFor candidates who have graduated from regular programs in the following fields: History, Philosophy, Political Economy, Public Administration, Social Management, Management Science, International Studies (or International Relations), Journalism, Law, and those currently teaching Marxist-Leninist sciences, a certificate of supplementary knowledge in this field is required before submitting their application.

III. Priority Policies

1. Candidates who receive priority in admissions belong to the following categories:

- War invalids, and those entitled to benefits similar to war invalids.

- Hero of the Armed Forces, Hero of Labor

- People belonging to ethnic minorities

- Individuals who have been continuously working for two years or more in highland, mountainous, island, or remote areas, as of the date of application for the exam.

2. Candidates belonging to priority groups will receive additional points.Ten points (on a 100-point scale) for the foreign language subject and one point (on a 10-point scale) for the basic subject. Individuals belonging to multiple priority categories are only entitled to priority once.

Priority candidates must have all valid supporting documents as prescribed by Hanoi National University and must submit them fully and on time along with their application for the entrance examination.

IV. Subjects eligible for training support funding from the state budget.

Candidates for postgraduate studies are officials, civil servants, and public employees (according to the Civil Servant Ordinance) who have a decision from their agency to send them to study and are within the quota funded by the State.

V. Standard training time and maximum training duration

The standard training duration and the maximum training period for each master's degree program are 2 years (24 months) and 5 years (60 months), respectively.

VI. Examination Subjects

Basic, foundational, foreign language (one of five languages: Russian, German, English, French, Chinese) level B.

VII. Application documents (forms available at the school)

1. Application form for the entrance exam, using the template provided by Hanoi National University.

2. A self-declaration of personal history certified by the managing agency or local government where the applicant resides (for individuals not working in state-owned or private agencies, units, or enterprises).

3. A health certificate for studying issued by a general hospital.

4. Certified copies of the following diplomas and certificates, notarized by a state notary:

- University diploma and transcript of the entire university course, with certified academic ranking from the competent authority that issued the degree;

- Certificate of supplementary knowledge training (if required to attend supplementary courses);

- Recruitment or appointment decisions (if applicable to government officials) or long-term employment contracts to certify years of service.

- Certified copy of legal documents proving eligibility for priority consideration (if applicable)

5. A letter of recommendation from the head of the managing agency for individuals currently working in state-owned or private agencies, units, or enterprises.

6. Three envelopes with the candidate's address already written on them and stamps affixed, and four 3x4 size photos.

VIII. Admission Plan

Selling and receiving documentsFrom June 15th to July 15th, 2008. Review guide: Expected from July 15th to August 15th, 2008.

Exam scheduleFrom August 29th to 31st, 2008

IX. Admission Fees

1. Registration fee for the exam: 50,000 VND.

2. Examination fee: 300,000 VND

Candidates who are exempt from the foreign language exam will have their exam fee reduced by 50,000 VND.
