The Center for Foreign Languages and International Educational Exchange Promotion (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) announces the first phase of the 2010 specialized foreign language certification exam for tourism, as authorized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.A foreign language certificate in the field of tourism, issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is a requirement for obtaining an international tour guide license.
I. Information about the first round of the specialized foreign language certificate exam for tourism
1. Eligible contestantsThose who need to take a foreign language certification exam in the tourism industry.
2. Application documents
- 3 passport-sized photos (3 cm x 4 cm)
- Application form (template provided)
- Copy of ID card
3. Examination format
- Combined essay (Reading and Writing skills) and Listening comprehension skills: 90 minutes.
- The presentation should be on a given topic: 7-10 minutes.
4. Exam schedule
a. Exam date
- June 6, 2010: English, French, Russian, German, Japanese
- June 13, 2010: Chinese, Korean, Thai, Spanish, Italian.
b. Exam registration deadlineBefore May 30, 2010. Candidates from distant locations can register for the exam by mail.
5. Examination fees: 580,000 VND (Five hundred and eighty thousand Vietnamese Dong).
